GROUND LOOP!! interference isolator?
shropna replied to HDC501's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Just isolate the camera inside housing.... -
Just do step by step. First, open media session, then select cameras. After that you can do backup.

First of all - DO NOT DO GROUND LOOPS! Best way - grounding all system equipment to one grounding point. -
DIY Kit solution for a small business possible?
shropna replied to Arkilae's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Good joke, but not that, what i want to said For example, Lots of encoders has more better color signal filters, and you will not see "color bars" near image small details. Megapixel cameras can have more better dynamic range, than in this picture, with the same pixels quantity -

Sorry of O.T., but, by my opinion, both images is bad... First image can be better, if you will use encoder with better composite signal color filter Second, if you will use megapixel camera with better dynamics range -
Ant this is not "tiny joystick". This is just button. If you set dome address switch to 1, then, when push this button, dome moves right, 2 - left, 3 - up... etc. I'm not remember all commands, but only principle, how this test work....
-
Oldest Bosh domes works only if dome enclosure is covered with lower dome "glass". Try to find the switch

Yes, IR will not work. Use White light illuminator

This camera is not IR sensitive. Just has electronic color cut, but not mechanical ICR filter remove....

MegaPixel Cameras - Images and Demos
shropna replied to rory's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
All shoots is made at the same day. About UDP IPE camera. Worse image at night, little bit better image at day (not true day/night camera, just DSS, no mechanical IR filter remowing), but not bad VCA (Video Content Analysis) work. Works also with frame integration. (y) Also, this is first UDP megapixel camera... -

Some comparisons. Of course, placing of cameras is little bit different, but not so critical, than images: -
Yes, any CCTV cameras with analog PAL or NTSC signal output can be used.

Hm. If You do not like Sanyo HD series cameras picture, that means, you do not have experience in Megapixel cameras One "stupid" thing in Sanyo cameras is not flexible image "quality" settings, and working stability... Megapixel quantity will not help Thats due not only lenses optical resolution (I'm theoretically will not believe, that it is possible to do lens to a 10 MP 1/2 inch standard size sensor, with very small pixel pitch. Variable "zoom" lenses (this type of lenses not exists , i thing you mean variable focal length lenses), is helpful for flexibility, but optical image resolution on that type lenses is worse, than on fixed focal length lenses. This thing not so important, when you use this lenses with standard resolution (big pixel pitch) cameras, but can caused lots of problems with megapixel (small pixel pitch) cameras.... -
Yes, thats true. RS422 is not the same physical layer, than Biphase (this is not only protocol description, physical layer of Biphase protocol is near Ethernet, with transformers on each side, no any voltage, when PTZ control signal is not present ), but it is possible to transmit Biphase physical layer signal via RS422 link (I'm use optical video converters to transmit Biphase over RS422 physical layer via that converters). But this is not protocol description! Biphase PTZ control data is different, than Pelco D or P protocol. I'm use converters from this supplier, and have no problems, but never use Pelco RS422 (P or D protocol), to Bosch Biphase, but, i thing on my experience with this company products, everything should be OK.

CCTV keyboard to PC

I'm read Certis KB10-HI specifications. Forget this option, this keyboard will not work with Omnicast.... -
Thats not true. Old Bosch cameras mostly controlled with Biphase protocol. You just need protocol converter, like this: http://www.sennetech.net/sct100page.html

Just analyze, what the difference between previously installed domes, and now installed. Maybe, distance from lens to dome surface is bigger? Just add a "tube" on lens.

Workstation Viewing of Multiple H.264 MP Cameras
shropna replied to megapixel man's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
If you have only 1 stream per camera, this can be difficult... For example, I'm always try to use "big megapixel" H264 at not higher, than 5 fps for recording, and 12-25 fps JPEG with smaller resolution for live monitoring Of course, surveillance software should support dual streams from cameras Also, good idea is to use not one workstation with multiple monitors, but "virtual matrix" solution, with small, silent, not very powerful industrial PC per monitor, than one powerful PC per 4 monitors, as example... Of course, surveillance software should support "virtual matrix" functionality
