i will like to share mine , i thought i brick my hcvr too. after reading one guy here saying that just place the usb(with correct firmware at root) in the usb port of the dvr player and start the dvr and wait for 15 min, then wa la... i start working , thanks alot for ya advise.

you fix it, and yet u didnt even say or tell how u fix, yes the vendor send u the rs232 connector to connect to pc, then what did u do? it cant be just connecting to pc it fix it all by itself. pls share..
