Thank you for replying to my post. Yes, I swapped out cameras and confirmed that the video for the new one did not work either. I connected the new camera directly to the dvr by use of a short (5 ft or so) BNC video cable, it worked fine. When I connected the old one directly to the dvr with the same cable, although I got a video feed (which I did not get at all when connected to the long cable run), the video had horizontal lines that would move top to bottom on the screen. From that, I surmised that the issue was a combination of bad video cable and to a lesser extent, degraded camera video quality. I attempted to trace out the long cabling run but it just goes through too many I-beams with too much multi-ton racks of machinery in the way that I could not even get a ladder close to the area to trace out every section of it. And, as previously mentioned, this takes place 20-30 feet (or maybe more) above the floor.
