I have the regular foscam cameras. I have a Web page setup at my house to view my foscam cameras so I know how to set it up. I get real time video on mine. Set page to refresh every 30 seconds to counter act freeze ups.

Hello all. I am looking for something to display IP cameras for a older man. I do not need to record. Or do I need anything fancy. The simpler the better. The best thing would be to be able to hit the power button and all cameras shown on the screen. No log in or anything like that. He was using a Zmodo system until a power surge fried it. I would like to use a IP camera so I would only have one network cable running to the nvr (hide switch in attic). Thanks for the help Bill

I am looking at 4-6 cameras. So I will have to use a nvr or dvr or a laptop with a Web page

Right now I have 3 Foscam cameras. If I could use these it would be a plus. If not then I may go with the Hikvision. i have used these before. Or maybe just a cheap used laptop with a web page setup to display all of his cameras on it. Cheaper the better is the budget. Disabled vet with limited income. But I want something that works.... No having to fiddle with it every other day or so.

I use ipcamviewer pro on my android phone. Don't think it would work for him. I thought about a laptop and a Web page with the cams on it. But worried about him messing with other stuff on the laptop. Anyone know of a mini nvr would boot to the display screen? Also how reliable they are.

I am also going to add the firmware versions to the list. If you have a link to download either the protocol or firmware, post it here and I will add it to my dropbox. I will also link to the original download pages if I can still find them. Just trying to make it easier for all to get their mini nvrs working like they should. My guess is a hardware failure now. I cannot reach it with TFTP. Working on a return with the seller

I setup 5 cameras the other day. I came back today and one of the DS-2CD2132F-IS dome cameras was not on. I started to trouble shoot. I can not get the router, Hikvision NVR, or the SADP software to see the camera. The LED on the board flashes. My POE switch shows it is getting power and connected but no joy. Anyone with suggestions? I held in the reset button while unplugging and then plugging back in. Still no good..

I have a friend that wants me to setup some cameras for him on his green house. I am needing to install 5-6 right now so I figured a 8 channel system. There will be 4 outside point to the driveway and plant area. And a couple in the inside sales area. I have 2 kits picked out. Anyone with pros and cons of these? How slick and user friendly is the interface for each? Any other suggestions on systems? I want to stay with a NVR POE based system to simplify wiring. Plus if he wants to upgrade to a Hikvision or Dahua system later all the wiring is pulled. I personally have a Hikvision system with 6 cameras at my home. hey all. I setup 4 DS-2CD2132F-IS cameras the other day. Today one of them would not function. It would not be seen by SADP software. I am unable to Telnet into it. Set computer ip to 192.0.0.128 with mask of 255.255.255.0. Tried the 192.0.0.64 and would not connect. Downloaded the Hikvision TFTP software. Tried to connect with it and it wouldn't either. I have tried to hold down reset button and power off and on holding button for 30+ seconds. The small LED on the board just flashes at me. Any tips on what to do next? I have used a poe switch. Also a 12v power supply. I have tried the SADP software and to telnet into it. No luck. I ping it and get no response

Xkosta. What camera are you using?. I grabbed the stream from all of my cameras for posting on a Web page. Acti, foscam, and vivotek cameras. I'm sure if you do a Google search you will find the right path to the stream you want.

How do you add i9 i10, etc manually? Thanks

Hey all. This is gonna sound dumb but I am going to ask anyway. I am setting up some cameras at the inlaws home. I purchased 5 domes DS-2CD2132F-IS and am looking for a NVR. I am think the ds-7608ni-se. My question is. Do you have to run all the camera feeds back to the NVR or can you just place them on your Lan anywhere and plug the NVR into your Lan and them be seen? Did you get your question answered? I am looking at buying a 7608ni but want to make sure it will work. I am putting 4 cameras in a house. 4 in a garage. And connecting the house to garage via a wireless bridge. I want to make sure the NVR will see all cameras and function properly Thanks Bill
