have managed to downgrade from latest firmware (20151231) on 8ch back to version(20150808). below link has 4ch and 8ch firmware version(20150808) http://www.unitoptek.com/?article=detail&id=133
-
add to above plugged drive in my 4ch on old firmware and out of sync recording playback fine confirming firmware bug not harddrive or time sync error.
-
having updated to (20151231) found that playback doesnt work, recording show in time line but always jumps to the end of each set of motion detected recording rather than the beginning, now will not let me downgrade with wrong file error, anybody have similar with this version ?

JJ the best and simplest mobile app for android is goolink. And as for firmware escam just add their branding to the generic firmware found here http://www.urcctvstore.com/Download.html Each firmware update (less frequent now) irons out bugs so would suggest using most recent.

Same problem, no solution found

My escam branded 8ch has developed a bug where all changes made to settings are discarded at reboot this includes adding or removing cameras so current setup has become permanent, it will also not update via usb any more just hangs at flash screen. anybody else had similar and hopefully found a soluton ? thanks

Hello jovanardi, these are the updates i tried and worked i12 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/71758617/i12-20140607.update onvif https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/71758617/onvif_20140607.update if anybody has newerupdates fresh links would be appreciated also add with escam cameras they only appear to broadcast onvif presence for a short time, so reboot camera's when updates installed.

added i12 - onvif lost added onvif - i12 lost added i12 again both ok
-
I only added i12 causing loss of onvif, when more time will try starting from scratch but as i12 is working better than onvif with escam camera's it can wait.

Hello kurben, Tried adding i12 protocol to see if my escam cameras could add motion detection and with great surprise it worked. As others stated i lost the onvif protocol and 1 camera would only connect to sub stream but got around that by using rtsp as no motion required on that camera. Thanks

Hi, Using escam branded 8 channel nvr. Having failed to upgrade to the 20150124 firmware which left nvr hanging at flash screen i tried to revert to previous firmware via usb method, failed every time using the 8gb kingston usb drive that i always use for backing up clips from nvr. Then dug up a cheap unbranded 8gb drive had knocking around at it worked 1st time. Both were reformatted as fat32 and as said above 1st drive worked fine with nvr previously and works ok now system is restored ?. As for motion detection i have four escam qd520's that work great for he price but there is a firmware bug that they only work with motion on the preset settings. this was found when using laptop to record before the nvr. Any changes to motion settings are discarded as soon as you leave settings page ans as nvr uses those settings motion does work but very poorly. hope this helps somebody J.T
