I had the same issue, I needed to allow running "VLSur.exe" in my firewall settings.

Have you tried? System configuration (F9) -> Motion Option -> Start Delay ?

I have been using dyndns on several DVRs...it works well and is a lot more reliable than dipmap. dipmap seem to have the tendency to go down for days at a time.

THANK YOU Rory!!!!! It was greatly missed the last couple of weeks!!!!

You have to request a download from tech support or live help at http://usavisionsys.com. Or you can get the download at ezcctv.com. ezcctv also has a good forum.

Thanks, I will give removing the drivers through the GeoVison install DVD a try. I had been using ccleaner, but perhaps also using the GV driver removal tool will work better. Does your remote access work with Internet Explorer? Thanks!

I installed 8.3 and half of the remote applications don’t seem to work. Firefox dos Explored dos not show live images, web cam drops every time! G-View I can no longer change cameras or move the PTZ or control the outputs. The Windows mobile 6 application is not nearly as good as G-View was. I tried to reinstall 8.2 but could not get it to start up. For now I am stuck with 8.3, maybe I’ll try 8.1 later today. I am no computer expert, but I am not a complete newbie either, I spend countless hours on 8.2 glitches and thus far it looks like it might be the same with 8.3. I hope GeoVision is more responsive in acknowledging glitches and patching them with 8.3 than they were with 8.2. I like GeoVsion once it’s dialed in!! I was hoping GV would redeem itself for all the 8.2 glitches. Thus far I am disappointed. I have only played with it for about 3 hours (which should be sufficient). I am sure eventually all the functions will work again. I just hope someone will post solutions on cctvforum soon.

Yes, got the email last night, could not find a download though. Does anybody know where to download? Hopefully ezcctv will have it soon.

If not using the remote access, which would be easiest, I would suggest a CAT5 KVM. I have used a CAT5 KVM setup before and liked it because you can fully configure the DVR and use all of its functions remotely.

I am not sure on this, but maybe this will help: I had to open IE by right clinking on the short cut and selecting open as administrator from the dropdown menu. That seemed to allow me to do everything I needed.

GV tech support told me that you need the new version card (hardware) if you want to install two PCI card on one PC. However 8.3 can be installed as an upgrade on 8.0 and up single up cards.

I was just online with GV tech support Friday. 8.3 will not have an iPhone application yet. I was told there is no ETA for the iPhone application…very disappointing!!!

I was just online with GV tech support Friday. 8.3, which should come out in couple of weeks will have a Blackberry application.

Does anybody know if the iPhone application will finally come out with 8.3? Can the existing 8.2 cards be upgraded to 8.3 or do we need a new version card?

Use G-View with Windows Mobile
