    Remote access

Well, I've already got the cable (rg58) underground, so it could be used. It would be useful just for the video though. I would still need a IP part to have access to the software. Right? Could you describe briefly what I would need for an analog one and what for the IP?

    Remote access

Hi everyone, I need to design a system for my warehouse which is approximately 200 meters from my house. I’ve lost count of how many times my chicken have been stolen (I’m not joking ). Now, I try to summarize all the details. I want to install up to 4 day/night cctvs and store all the footage. I want to monitor everything from a pc in my house. My father covered that distance with one rg58 coaxial cable. That said, Is it possible to place the recording part in the warehouse itself and then operate its setup from home and use the rg58 to get the video? This way I could get standard (no IP) cameras and save a good lot. If such thing is feasible could you advise me on what to do and which piece of hardware to get? Cheers Addendum: I might do it with a pc and access it through remote desktop. In that case there wouldn't be the need of the rg58 cable.
