    Need Long Range IP Camera

If you means can watch so long distance without lights at night. Fixed IR Cameras can not reach it. only Ir Speed dome cameras can do that . If you can't find such products . suggest you get a speed dome and a Digital Video Server like this : Here is a demo online of my IP cameras: http://everview.vicp.net/index.htm username:user password: 12345 Camera like this can reach 80-100meters :
  3. Well , Hikvision has a perfect Ip solution, give a good video picture but don't cost bandwidth much . But still need improve the tech on Cameras . we produce professional IP cameras based on hikvision IP model . here is the online Demo (with 1M ADSL in China) http://everview.vicp.net/index.htm username:user password: 12345 IP camera like this :
  4. Hello everyone , I'm afraid you got a wrong card from Hikvision . They have 2 series cards : 1. HC , HS ,HF ,HCS ,HC+ , MD cards are domestic cards, there are limits in the card's SDK . So the software of these cards only can work with Chinese version OS . And this cards will be cheaper . they are yellow boards. 2. HCI,HSI,HFI,HCSI,HCI+,MDI cards are for overseas version cards, with CE,FCC, Rohs . will work fine with all kinds of language OS . But will be more expensive .As I know HCI ,HFI,MDI cards are blue boards . HCSI cards are yellow boards . When I was working at Skyvision I have tested domestic version cards with English OS , will have many problems . SO when you buy cards , please make sure the cards are for overseas version .

What is the highest CCTV camera resolution?

That is a good point in that PC based recoding goes up to broadcast standard. Which is quite nice. Sadly, the signal arriving at the card from the camera, doesn't approach those numbers unless you use the S-video (Y/C) cable. You lost me there . As long as you are using a single coax to connect to PC DVR, you can't get those numbers (and at any rate, TV Line is not the same as the resolution numbers used above for DVR). The signal is filtered (lowered in resolution) at the camera end before being put on that cable due to limitation of NTSC broadcast standard we live in. The numbers you mention per my post, are the resolution of the front-end/sensor of the camera, not what you get at your DVR -- PC or otherwise. you are right ,recording with 480TVL and 520TVL cameras , the finally quality can't be 480TVL or 520TVL , as my experience , it will be 300TVL~400TVL range . But I'm guess , when you using a 600TVL camera , the finial result can't increase to 500TVL . Maybe max.450TVL . can't take direct proportion to cost.

Best Outdoor IR Cameras for pitch black applications

Hi . before use IR cameras , please make sure how far your IR cameras can reach . As I know , IR camera distance is 10~50m . If the surveillance area is large , add another LED Lights aroud it . You have 2 choice : 1. add another LED light, to make sure your IR camera can get enough illumination . LED Light can reach 100~150m . 2. Choose Star-light camera , this kind of camera can take good video by weak light . for example : 0.01 LUX . but will be a little expensive . Here is our website: www.ever-view.com/en/

What is the highest CCTV camera resolution?

    Hi Everyone . as I know , if you are using PC-based DVR or embedded DVR . the highest preview/recording resolution is D1 : NTSC(704 X 480) (704 X 576) . recording 300TVL ~500TVL already very clearly . That's the reason why most manufacturers only product 420TVL , 480TVL ,520TVL Cameras . Other details will be more important , for example support wide-voltage , material , life cycle , easy-install etc.
  8. As I know , there are over 10 different version software based on Hikvision cards. can you tell me which version are you using ? for example : Skyvision Nbv6.2 , iDVR Netvision IVMS Unisight or Linux version software ?
  9. We have sell Hikvision DS series cards for over 5 years . I can give you some suggestion: 1. Please choose Intel CPU , Motherboards use Intel will be better example 845, 865,945,965,G31 etc. besides 915 motherboards . 2. 64 channels recording need 400W ,32 channels should be Min.300W, and watch your power supplier:+3V should >=20A 3. 64 channels recording will save numerous video data into HDD. For protect HDD and data . I suggest SATA HDD . 4. Graphic card will be very important . Please choose some support overlay function . When support , it will great save CPU resource when playback multi-channels . Here is one of my PC configuration : OS Windows XP BOSS MSI MS7236 ver:1.A CPU P4 3.06HT ROM 512M HDD 500G graphic card X1300 DVR card DS4016HCI 2*16=32ch Power Huntkey +3V >=20A
  10. In China mainland . the most famouse and reliable DVR Cards and from Hikvision . I have check NUUO's cards , looks very same like Hik cards . If yes ,I think you can trust it .
  11. I'm afraid it's difficult to find some other software to support your cards . in DVR Card field . haven't a standardization of SDK . So always one software for one brands cards besides some famouse brands (for example Geovision , Hikvision). So I suggest choose these cards next time .
  12. Our company sell Linux DVR software based on Hikvision Cards for years. Both Linux OS and DVR software are installed in DOM . If you are interested , please contact me : steven.n.ev@gmail.com .

    info on ILDVR

Hi 501 , are you using ilDVR cards ? I think they are very different cards between Geovision. iLDVR card(in fact is Hikvision card) is Hardware compress card . it's using American TI Chipset to compress video signal. so cost very little CPU , you can make a 64channel 1920fps DVR system with it. Geovision card (in fact is Korean card) is software compress card. it's only used to receive video signal from camera, and then compress them by CPU. so only support 32ch DVR and can't reach realtime either. If we only compare hardwares, Hikvision cards are much better than Geovision's. do you think so? In China. most of DVR cards are Hardware compress . for example: Hikvision ,Skyvision .etc I think software is already more advanced than before. I suggest you have a test with Skyvision's software : NBV6 or iDVR. http://www.skyvision.com.cn/en/Download.asp?BigClassName=DVR%20NBV6
  14. if you want to use this trial software . let us see your software's snapshot . maybe we can find the software supplier . you know hikvision only product hardware . they normally use Skyvision, netvision or other company's software
  15. 5 fps? You can get well over 20fps per camera with the Geo Cards. With PCI-e and Quad Cores, even Core 2's, you can easily do 20-30fps per camera, in 640x480 mode. And with the Combo cards, they are all real time preview. Actually China's requirements are typically much lower, at least in every other regard Also, most CCTV cameras dont benefit a single bit from 720x480 (D1) especially OEM cameras which typically dont have the effective image pixels to match. As to H.264, no comment, other than I have yet to see anything recorded in that codec that impresses me. More compression means lower quality, no matter how great people claim it is. With PCI-e and Quad Cores, even Core 2's? that means we have to update all of our PC to support new CPU,new motherboard including memory .etc . we can create a 32 channels realtime recording PC-DVR with old PC : C2.66,256M DDR and PCI slot . what we should do is only to buy 4 pcs hardware compress 8ch cards. a middle level project in China means hundreds of PC-DVR . So it will save much money. about H.264, you will find it's video quality not so good as Mpeg4 or other format. it's not H.264's problem. tell you the truth , most of DVR card only use simplest arithmetic in H.264 . if they use standard H.264 tech, they have to use more powerful DSP chipset. the cost will be higher. if the same video quality, H.264 will save more space than Mpeg4 or other format.
  16. GeoVision cards are made in Korea yes. most of Taiwan software company are using Korean software cards. but we don't sell them to China . In China, most important is realtime preview and record (25fps) , that's just the software card's disadvantage . Maybe European market allow 5fps D1 , but China can't . In this Field , I'm afraid China's requirement is higher than other countries.
  17. kodicom is software compress card . I'm afraid it's only suitable for low end market. if you have more than 32 channels to manage. it will cost many CPU . as far as know , Skyvision's oversea software only support HIKVISION cards and their own cards. where did you get 10 different dvr cards? In my opinion, Hardware compress cards will be more and more popular with their powerful functions. and their cost will be less and less. So If you don't want to update your PC-DVR after a few month, I suggest you have a test hardware compress cards. Hikvision cards have high quality , and already been best card in the world. but cost maybe a little high. In China , there are many manufacturers for hardware DVR cards with good price . even if Korean cheap software cards can't expand China market yet.
  18. because they already have their own hardware?
  19. I found your software is very same to Skyvision's including software's name. who is the largest software supplier in China?
  20. what I want to say is software will be the key to expand market.DVR cards seem like many different models. in fact , they all use TI chipset or Philips chipset. so they will be no different from each other just like a normal tape-record after a few years. I know netvision is a software company just like Geovision, Skyvision. what you are doing is to support more cards and customize more functions in the software. it's the most importand. Skyvision already support most of Chinese DVR cards and has their own hardwares; Netvision are still using Hikvision cards and Geovision mainly for software cards. is it right?
  21. Korean mainly sell software compress cards. so they can't support 64 channels in one PC with realtime(each channel 25fps). most mainly Hardware compress cards are from China. for example: Aventure , netvision are using Hikvision's DS4000 serial card. China is large countries, it's technical on surveillance field is more advanced than other countries. for example , only a small city's bank will have thousands of cameras to remote control. by the way, I think Hardware will be less and less diffenent from each other, they are all TI or philips chipset's world, only a powerful software can make them valuable.
