I am setting up a PC based surveilance system around the home. Having proven the hardware works, I am looking to purchase some decent cameras.
During the testing phase I used a Swann Day/night BW (camera specs at the end. Whilst I appreciate the IR range did not allow me to get any night time pictures, the resolution is not great at 380tvl, but that goes with the camera. What was most annoying was the quality of the image, the camera is facing south, and during the early morning or late afternoon picture quality was reasonable, but during the day the images were washed out.
I have put some images from the camera on my webspace if they will help, and a picture of the location, distance to the footpath is 9m, and the road is another 8m or so. Camera is located at top of garage next to house in front of drainpipe.

What camera would you reccommend (something I can buy in the UK). I do not want a large camera, something as discrete as possible. I do want to see at night, and ideally would like to be able to see a wider angle than present, and as far as the road. There is some street lighting, but generally it is dark!
thanks
