Pelco Spectra III PTZ dome Dual Voltage?
topchips replied to okay's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Good day This PTZ looks like its AC not DC, however I have seen PTZ's that can take 24AC and 12V DC , not sure what you should try here, it does say AC on your pic though so I would stick to that, is there any other allocation on the PTZ on what power to use regards -

Need help for Software.
topchips replied to bendicion's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Hi You will need at the very least a gigabit network and a high-spec pc with graphics, high end i5 or middle i7, is this for local network or remote? for remote you will need high bandwidth especially on the DVR end, high upload speed, at the PC side, high download, you could also try playing with the bit-rate/FPS and resolution to get better streaming or if the system has dual stream just use the sub-stream Regards -

How to connect analog cctv with mobile without using DVR ?
topchips replied to Sapphire_enterprises's topic in Introductions
Hi you will need to convert your analog signal to digital in order to make it work on a app on your mobile, the best way to do that is via a DVR or you could just use a IP camera, the other way is to use a IP server or a usb dvr to a pc, I wouldnt bother with any of those it just becomes a pain, I would recommend a DVR or IP camera Regards -
Hi You should go for the highest TVL you get 700/800 tvl ccd otherwise you can go for 1000/1200tvl cmos which is usually the same price or sometimes cheaper than the CCD boards, also remember to get the cable as its probably different compared to your existing camera Regards

Trouble with Dahua IPC-HFW4300SN Camera's
topchips replied to gary11's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi I had the same problem with my system and found it was the POE switch that was the issue, what POE switch are you using? specs/model? try using a different switch or POE injectors with a 12v PSU Regards -
Also blurry/low resolution/useless. Not any more rugged that IP or CVI/TVI. It all depends on the manufacturer. Cheap junk analog is not rugged. Analog card is even worse. Its 2015, standard non hd analog should NEVER be installed. Both IP and CVI/TVI are very cheap. You got to look at the application, its a apartment complex, imagine running all that cable for a analog/tvi/cvi system, sure you could use video sharing kits but I haven't seen any for CVI or TVI that actually work properly, the best for this application would be IP, sure it is more expensive but grouping the ip cams together you will be using allot less a cable and allot less labor

Keyboard not controlling PTZ movement
topchips replied to ian_flux's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
Hi Another thing you can try is change the baudrate and protocol on the PTZ to match your keyboard, and drop the converter Regards -
Hi Just Log in the devices and change all the PORTs to what you like and forward them accordingly it wont matter unless that port is has already been used there should any way be a reference on your port range on the DVR's Regards
-
Hi The problem is either your HDD or PSU for the DVR, try testing your HDD with a HDD Tool , I would recommend HDD-Tune Pro if there is any faults you will need to replace it, I would recommend with a SV HDD, it can also be your PSU not pushing enough AMPs try a different PSU with same Voltage and same or higher am page also format your HDD in the DVR. Regards

Slow remote connection to only certain sites.
topchips replied to mtsomt's topic in Computers/Networking

Keyboard not controlling PTZ movement
topchips replied to ian_flux's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
Hi Can the keyboard setting be change to accommodate different baud-rates and protocols? what is the RS485 distance you running Regards -
Hi I would recommend IP/NVR for a apartment complex you can group the cams on each floor to a switch and then daisy-chain them between the floors allot less cable and hassle than running 1 cable per cam through all the floors Regards

Last NVR4100 firmware and webplugin
topchips replied to pastore.a's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi Don't worry about web login, use the CMS software for Dahua on Mac here is the link http://www.dahuasecurity.com/download/DH_SmartPSS_Eng_Mac_IS_V1.11.1.R.20150114.tar.bz2 its much more user friendly Regards -
Hi It can be 1 of 2 things, HDD or PSU, Try using a HDD TOOL software to test your HDD, I would recommend HD TUNE PRO,a HDD shouldn't crash at all, are you using a Surveillance HDD? If not I would seriously recommend that you do,other wise your HDD will crash all the time especially with a HDCVI system, you will need a HDD with no errors as the DVR is a security device and tries to save your data so it performs checks on the HDD all the time if it finds even the smallest error it will reboot and display HDD error or no HDD The PSU can also be a problem if the PSU is damaged and not pushing enough amps, so if it says 12v 2a it might only be pushing less than 1Amp, you can test with a amp meter or getting a New PSU with same or higher amps hope this helps Regards
