thanks for the link. it was written right there. don't know how I missed that.

you'll need to do bridge for the DSL modem to bypass it's annoying firewall option. Call the ISP and ask how you forward a port with their modem. if you'll get the right person on the line you'll have it done in 10 minutes. or just find the manual

We use AT&T USB Aircard (Sierra 875U) and it works pretty good in our area, however that depends on the company network covarage in your area. might be too slow up there. but you can try it for 30 days

I know. also RAM, I could get 4Gigs for 10$ less of what I paid for 2 Gigs! well too late -too bad I got the 2.4 by the end. the 'wishlist' was changed when I made it to a shopping cart. it was just an easy way to post it here without too many copy/paste edit: btw thanks for the tips on the bios settings and CPUZ

that wish list has a different CPU than what I got by the end(Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 Allendale 2.4GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor) anyway, not sure I did wise on it. see this post why: http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=10216

How to you enable that "turbo mode"? I have 2 6480EXP 16CH and when all 32 cams recording I can only get 15 FPS @ 640x480 to get 30 FPS per channel I need to decrease the res to 352x240 @sajaan458 - you say that you need to have "Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 processor or higher" where did u see these specs? I'm asking because my CPU is Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 Allendale 2.4GHz LGA 775 and the only requirements I saw are 2.4GHz...

We just finished a new 32 ch avermedia server. it works smooth so far and I love it here is the hardware list for you: https://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/Wishlist/PublicWishDetail.asp?WishListNumber=7334006&WishListTitle=Avermedia%2D32CH%2Dserver hope this helps. and me too think you should build them yourself. I feel better giving my clients that than OEM pc.

Hola all, anyone knows how you configure Geo's PTZ home button to a specific preset?
-
I want lens selector stripper for the girlfriend will help too.

clicking on mine does nothing. I guess there must be somewhere you can define that button. The manual doesn't mention this button at all AFAIK.

I have an issue with GV Capture card V3 and a PC based POS. I can see the POS events log on the server box but can't see the log remotely. If I'm VNCing the machine and see the system log I can read all the POS data, however when I connect from IE I see the log window blank. anyone knows what I'm talking about? thanks.

that's suck. when I connect remotly there isn't any list in the window. even Geo support couldn't figure out why not

@501 do you remember having the same situation like mine or you are able to see the transactions log in the POS Live View ?
-
thx for the reply m8. I found that way in the advance search of RPB , it's half way there because you have the raw text, but you can't play the associated video. on the GV box @ the POS location I can go to ViewLog button and "Search POS data" and see/play the associated video with the transaction. not so when connecting remotely. If you login to "POS Live view" remotely you can see the window with the live transactions text. since there are "next/prev transaction" button I think I'm suppose to see the previous transactions listed in the window, or at least be able to flip between them. The way it is now, the client need to use RPB, then advance search, start time, look at the time of the odd transaction and then use any other GV method to playing that channel in the same time to see the POS text embedded. what I want to know if there is a way of playing the associated videos like on the local GV?

CTRL+ALT+W look in JPG tab.
-
frustrating no one installs POS here?
-
we build them and give a year warranty. If you want more features and better tweaking options go PC based. If you can't solve PC issues that might happen and prefer simplicity stick to DVRs.

port triggering is to allow back connection if you initiated first the connection. since you say you can see the cam for a few sec before the message maybe try to forward the port you have now triggered.

What router works better other than D-Link or Linksys?
sinbad replied to sonorabill's topic in Computers/Networking
We like to use Netgear switches/routers. hot stuff IMHO. -
anyone that sells PC Based should have the specs no?
-
try putting your GV card in abother PCI slot maybe.

yeah I had something like "Control stop/start monitoring" check box in the I/O setting that didn't let me stop recording . so that's fixed but can't get into the OSD yet or setup routes ideas?
