-
do you mean Melbourne Australia ? IF so Email me I have been down the 'bullet path' and can get you fantastic Hi-res sony super HAD EX-view ones that also go to BW mode at night. If you spend any less than $200 ea here you will get rubbish. -EASY way to tell they have IR leds on them. $300 will get you 1 and 1/2 cams z

IP camera for Sea port
zmxtech replied to si_kungs's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
securicorp hit it on the head ! There is a big difference between the color glossy and reality IP cams you want the network fast as you can afford. For marine surveillance thermal is very good also. z -

hi folks.. I got myself a Pelco Spectra IIIse PTZ cam not bad but it really needs a IR cut filter. Anyway could not find any software to control it for free so I a wrote another small program that does the job [2400 8n1 cam1 pelco D] Will be up on my site soon if anyone is interested ? z
-
Any of the Extreme`s will do the job, ex26 or ex27 style would suit z

jokers on ebay call IR torches "ghost hunting" ?? My house must be ghost free ..... I have enough IR to be seen from space [if you were wearing NVGs that is...] z

this is not bad > http://www.232analyzer.com/RS232_Examples/CCTV/Pelco_D_Pelco_P_Examples_Tutorial2.HTM#1 z

plexiglass acts like mirror at night
zmxtech replied to randy@wholesaledialup.com's topic in General Digital Discussion
might need to take the front caps of the cameras then put them against the plastic -with a boot around the main lens to stop bleed-thru you might get secondary refections otherwise z -
thats easy... I would use my laptop & 485 converter and look at the serial data stream [i use the free http://www.serial-port-monitor.com/index.html] First look at the data coming out of the controller then at the camera end . If that looks fine I would put my fluke 123 [HH cro] on the TX pairs to see if the 485 data is clean and free of noise. [both ends] Failing all that I ... depending on the camera I would inject a copy of the data to the camera to see if it works etc.. my 2c

you should see a dull glow of the LEDs [thru your camera] as 900nm+ cant be seen by us.
-
If the IR cut filter is working [it goes b&w] then and you are getting a dark picture the IR lEDs might not be on. I have fixed a few ex40 domes and the LEDs tend to burn out. hold up you phone camera etc to check they are on z

207w's dropping connection, must reboot
zmxtech replied to metafizx's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
169.254.34.50 is a made up IP XP will give that range out if it cant find a DHCP or static address, so it sounds like your getting close ! -
207w's dropping connection, must reboot

For Correct operation you would do a survey [like wispy] and then put the cams on non overlapping channels away from the noise -just like any other wifi setup I do many of these WIFI setups to 60 at a time -4 per floor etc. Looking at your setup you would see the signal strength is down and the carrier to noise is high which would suggest a problem. Putting diverse semi high gain antennas on your AP will improve things also [which will crank the BW /fps up] z -
Can I brighten/enhance night video footage?
zmxtech replied to P4yfir3's topic in General Digital Discussion
get the correct lighting first IR or visible ? One $200 wide angle IR illuminator or some spots ? fixing bad video is silly -
thats a wide question.... what camera are you using ? overt or covert ? inside -outside ? power? that's a small area you wont need much or you'll get whiteout! z
-
No power so solar I guess or a couple of large battery's to last a while Questions budget ? Do you need to see at night ? need get the planes rego ? need to get the approach and landing ? You could go IP cams but you said you have an analog system. I would not touch 900mhz because the transponders are right there 2.4mhz is nasty 5.8ghz might be the go. [some weather radars are on 5ghz tho] -ask your comms guy For 1km you will need two high gain antennas around 12dbi + pointing at each other one hooked up to your cam and transmitter the other at the COP DVR end on the receiver. [make sure the RX TX link has antenna sockets!] camera selection is up to you but something small waterproof that does not draw to much current. -'extreme ex27' would be nice my 2c z

Elec noise in camera image in UTP cable via passive balun
zmxtech replied to imtiyaz.my's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
mmm very artistic... 100 ft? try coax it will always beat twisted pair for interference suppression you might need a video amp at the start ? sounds like your BALUNs are poo but then again the noise might be just too much! -even active ones will fail. COAX ! z
