What Ccd Board Should I Use.

Hi, I need to buy a board for my dome camera, it has 2.8-10 variofocal zoom which is fine, the leds are fine but just the board and chip are dead. My question is what should I put it. I've been looking at 1/3 Sony ccds boards from 480tvl to 700tvl. Are there any good ones for a reasonable price I could use. Thanks!

    Help required on CCtvinstallation

1-2 : check the power requirements for the cameras it sounds like not enough power. It you use a 4 or 6 way splitter cable make sure your power supplie is strong enough...... 3 : I got those lines when the bnc cable was too weak and the camera was to far away. Try a stronger cable, it doesn't work connecting multiple cables together, you will lose signal so use a long cable.

    Help required on CCtvinstallation

I don't understand the part where you say 3 cables were used for 6 cameras. Each camera needs its one cable to connect it to the dvr. Ir cameras use more power, so you mgiht not have a big enough power supply. For me I have a 12v 2a which splits to 4 cameras. If I use a 1a it doesn't work. I hope this helps abit.

    rural driveway monitor

Hi, from experience I have a analog 960h swann security camera set. The images are okay... But in terms of image quality being able to see a person or licence plate from 120 is just not possible. A good image is 5-20ft. Yes you will see somthing at 120 but it would look black or very blurry. The distance problem you could either put the camera at the ens of the driveway or at the house and use a variofocal lens to see down 120 at the end. If you want a great image go with a HD set over analog. Tvl sets are getting old everything is in HD now... If you choose wired you will be running a cable to the dvr. If you choose WIFI you can put the camera at the end but you still need a power source for the camera. Your need to make sure the WIFI can travel over 120 for the distance of the signal. I'll read the question again and see if I missed somthing. One other thing is if you want live viewing a fly or bug can trigger the camera and the system might message you about some movement. I hope this gives you a better idea. Good luck.
  6. Hey guys, im new to the forum and just wanted to get some suggestions on how to fix the problem im having. Im 16 years old and bought a Swann security system. it is now a mix of bullet and dome, wired and wireless, all have night vision- with different TVL's but are all 960h, the same as my DRV (960h). The reason for this was because we live across the street from a popular park, where many houses have been getting broken in recently. I spoke with my sister, my mom and my moms "boyfriend" before buying which they were ok with it being used for when were not home... Ive been having problems with my moms boyfriend who recently doesn't want them "Filming him" where I replied they are not, and I said we discussed this when I bought them they are for when we are not home for work/school. Before i forget, we all have access to the system and can turn it on/off whenever. Him and I agreed that he could put paper in front of the camera(s) - tapped to the ceiling when he gets home from work, and removes the paper in the morning. He started being lazy and didn't remove the paper, which I did before school. Then recently started stuffing paper into my bullet cameras housing and electrical tape on my dome camera covers, and unplugging the camera(s). The one camera he hates is the one I have facing at the entrance of our long hallway, which is the first floor containing many back and front windows but also the hallway has entrances to bedrooms and bath room. I came home today and the bullet camera FOV facing the hallway, was pushed down facing the floor. I sick off fighting over this and also fixing my cameras, what should I do?

Security Cameras in the house problem

My house has been broken into 3 times in the past few years of us living here, so I need a few inside. And with the spiders I get lines all over the cameras, also in Canada where I live there is lots of fog and high humidity and the cameras get lots of white dots, looks like a blizzard at night.

Security Cameras in the house problem

I have the dome outside and bullet inside because of the spiders putting webs on the bullet, 4 in and 4 dome out.
