Hello,
New member here and new to the DVR/Security camera world. I recently bought a house that has 4 Speco HT-7815DNV camera's connected to a DVR server (windows desktop computer) running GeoVision Multicam Surveillance System ver. 8.5.9.0.
I appologize in advance if I use the wrong terminology, etc.
I'm not sure how old the system is. I have a few problems but will start with the most troubling one first. I have one camera that the sun is behind it all day, at some point during the day (I've observed around noon) the camera picture looks like the contrast was turned way up as the picture is almost totally white. At night when it goes into IR mode the picture is fine and then the next morning it's fine until it happens again. I'm not sure if the sun is reflecting off one of the cars and/or it's sun screen and the reflection bouncing back is throwing the exposure way off or if it's happening around the same time as part of some timed event.
The other three camera's are fine.
I have been able to get all the ports forwarded on my router to connect via a Windows machine just fine. My MAC and iDevices (iPhone and iPad) are a different story. I can connect to the local IP and can get video ok on my iPhone and iPad, not the MAC Book (I get logged in but video won't play). Trying the remote IP (and host name via my no-ip account) I get a login but it won't go any further. Running the latest OS on iDevices and Mac-Book. Can't get the GV-iView app to work at all.
Thanks in advance for any help. Once I can get these issues all squared away I'll jump into motion detection, etc.
