  1. I would like to add a couple of cameras to my weather underground personal weather station. Capabilities I need is: - capture a still image every XX minutes and automatically FTP them, regardless if motion is happening or not - Can withstand being outdoor, in the sun (not under an eave), not protected. What I'd like is: - wifi connection (I plan on mast mounting a few of them) - 720p or better resolution still picture capture - selectable resolution and quality for picture capture. - can set up to not turn on IR leds at night - inexpensive I see a lot of IP cameras on ebay for not a lot but when I write to the seller asking if it will FTP images every XX mins, the answer has been no. Anyone have a link to something that will do what I need for $50 or less? Ambient Weather sells such a beast but it's $180'ish.
  2. I've got the Costco 8 channel Lorex HD-DVI system and after bench testing in my living room I'm happy enough with it to go ahead and do the install. How though? Home is a single story So. Cal 'ranch' style home. Concrete slab, attic, eaves without soffits, some stucco, some wood. I'd like it to be a relatively inconspicuous install but I'm not sure how successfully I'll be. Also with the eaves without soffits, there's not a flat surface to mount to. Then there's the cable that is 6" long from the camera that then terminates to a BNC and DC power jack - if mounted on the eaves this will be exposed. Anyone have any install photos they can point me to?

    Client Snoops through our house

We had a friend that kept getting burglarized even with a monitored alarm system. Ended up it was a security company employee doing it.
