New here, so hope I'm in the right section. I have a couple of questions, for those familiar with the XMeye CCTV App:- 1) Can you use it with any DVR? 2) I use currently iDMSS, I tried the same credentials with XMeye but I get 'Login Timeout'. My DVR (which I can connect to, but not with the XMeye), is 3-4 years old and an analogue DVR 3) In the process of buying a new DVR which has the 'bar code' facility in order to set up external access, if someone has the barcode will they also have access to footage? I'm think the person who sells me the DVR, or is there log-in credentials that one needs (similar to what I currently have)? Thanks

Not sure, is there anywhere in your settings where you detail that you have "one" channel, instead of "eight"?

OK, I see it now, click on the 2nd tile (it should turn green outline), then in your left menu, click Camera 2, does camera 2 then show in Tile 2?

Can't see any doc, but its it loke this?

Not sure what you mean web site, are you using NetSurveillance via IE? On sensitivity, try setting the Interval / Delay to longer, again you might have different settings, as I don't 'think' you can access device config via Xmeye

Anyone use the latest Xmeye App (IOS), think its available in last 24 hours, everytime I log in, date goes back to 31/07/2015 on DVR, thus recordings etc are dated 31/07/15, not the current date etc etc Anyone experience that? Anyone got a support email address for them? Thanks

I'm a little confused on the Area you select/don't select in order to activate motion recording. On image below, will all movement within the Blue area activate motion recording? or do I 'unblank' these Blue squares (and thus see the actual image of the camera) Also on the Sensitivity section, will whats selected i.e. 'highest' see Usan Bolt running past, or should I set it to 'Lowest' to catch him? Also does my settings indicate 5 secs prior and 10 seconds after motion, will be recorded? Thanks

Just to inform you of the fix. I was using a lower Amp than required 1.7 v 4, thus although it was turning the DVR on, it wasn't sparking up the HDD Here's me think all you have to do is ensure you have plugged it in to power!

I'm having big problems in having cameras on a new AHD DVR record. I can see the images on screen live, I can view remotely live, but nothing is being recorded. I hear you say you must not have the setting 'record' set, but I have, all that should be checked is checked. See attached I have a mixture of AHD and Analogue Cameras, which I am told will work on the DVR. Channel 1 encoding is used for a PTZ AHD camera, Channel 7 uses an Analogue, see attached, are these correct? I am really baffled as to why no recordings are happening, yet I can get Motion Detect emails

I will try that, is "manual" just on demand, your looking live and want then to record what you see? My plan was to record 24/7 and also detection, if you see what I mean Yes, I'm aware you need to have the AHD's in pairs, thus Ch 1 & 2. I've an AHD on 1; Analogue on 3 & 7 (so 3 in total at the minute)

^^ Thanks for reply On recording mode, there is only 2 available, Stop recording and overwrite. I have selected overwrite, but does this mean once 1st HDD is full it will move to second? One other Q, do I have to load firmware on to the 2nd HDD or will it slave from the 1st seamlessly?

I would like to install a 2nd HDD in my DVR and I have a couple of Q's - Does the 2nd HDD have to be the same size as the 1st? - How do you configure so that when one HDD is full, recording etc moves to the 2nd one automatically etc? - Whats the difference between Sata 2 and 3 Thanks

- Not really sure on the frames, drop down goes up to 12 - yep they are checked also, see below

Not yet, will have over the next few days. I would have (maybe wrongly) thought that you could use any of these Apps to access your CCTV once you have the IP/User/Pass/Port No New DVR can handle the Config via BarCode, but does that not mean the seller can scan the code on their Phone and hence gain access? As I have an existing DVR that I can access, setting/config on the new one shouldn't be too big of an issue, as I can mirror the key network tasks, but I suppose the BarCode thing makes it easy. I have a Fixed IP address, don't use any external services

^^^ Thanks Never heard of gDMSS (Android ver?), its definitely iDMSS (on IOS). iDMSS uses 37777, but putting the IP/User/Pass/Port No of my existing in XMeye I can't get a connection Reason I will be using XMeye, is thats the app I've been told works with my new DVR (don't know the make, don't have it yet), I was just testing out (or planned to). Would I have to change the Port on the DVR to match the XMeye port number, which I think is 34567
