  1. Hi all, I've been having trouble with my Swann system, I've had email alerts and motion record on to find at night it continually recorded and sent me emails in some cases I woke up to 100+ emails of pictures with nothing on them. I was told it was something to do with the IR lighting lacking to light up the area it was monitoring giving false alarms. I have recent bought some extra 12v IR lights there small round 48 LED illumination hopfully enough to stop my problem. My main question is obiviously at the camera there's only one DC adapter for the camera but I need two at the camera so the IR light can be plugged in! I've bought a splitter to give me to is this ok to do or will I get other problems ?? Thanks for the help guys! Josh

    Swann & more IR lights

I have put the extra ir light up before your reply it doesn't stop the motion recording or emails but it defiantly lightens up the area making it better for clearer night face pictures. How would I wire in the PIR sensors to the Swann dvr8-1260 ?? It doesn't allow this option. Thanks Josh

Thanks cttvman I wanted to see others opinions as I didn't want to waste my time making brackets etc if there was an easy solution it's going to look daft when it's done as I'll end up with 3 cameras on one bracket and hopefully 2 extr ir lights under the bracket but if it helps protect my property I'm happy!! Hi, I've had my Swann dvr8-1260 advanced security system with pro-510 camera up for a while now and seem to have two problems I'm trying to solve. The first one is at night it's automatically triggering and sending me email pictures every two minutes which is rather annoying waking up to 100 pictures with nothing on, I believe this is because I need extra ir lights to make it brighter to stop faulse alarms is this correct what I'm thinking?? The second one is the cameras are best positioned for getting everything I need it too and at night I get the ir lights shining off the wall (see picture) I'm thinking the only way of solving this would be taking the cameras off the wall and making a bracket out of a inch by inch box section steel. Thanks Josh
