ok i got one tmzeon camera back. it turns out the first time you push the program button all the way down you get the first menu. then move the button towards the two wires not the wire going to the power and dvr. that is the video mode. then tot he right or left but keep going the same direction so your not just going back and forth. it may take 4 times. then wait a sew seconds between the left push to give it time to set teh mode. then you can go into the back menu to save and exit. turns out i may have a bad new camera as the 720 came back on but the 1080p did ot come back on and i understand that if my dvr is not 1080p capable that the camera should show in a lower resolution than the camera is. so because i can't get this new camera to show it may be a bad camera. i have to go and look but i'm sure i have one 1080p camera on my dvr system now. thanks.

ok but now i have to find a 5 in 1 recorder because of all the recorders i ask about they all come back and se they are junk. so i found a site that said hikevision is an offshoot from dahu and everyone seems to live with the high priced hikevision. so what i may do is get a kkmoon as it has the same chips as the so called hikvision and see if there apps are any better. at this point in time i'm not a believer as i have tried more than a dozen apps and tinycam is by far the best one for what i need to use it for and more secure. one thine for sure is i got 4 of those 4 into 1 cameras and i got 2 tmezons that i can't see on my recorder, they are in the ahd mode and i can't see them to take them out of that mode and put them into the cvbs mode that i need. i had one working and i changed the mode to test it and it lsot the feed and now i cant get it back. and i do not know the button sequence to get it back.

i have a neighbor that has one of those ip cam systems the has the nvr and ip cams that are wifi and attach to each other. they are able to connect to the router so you could use an app the system has to view the cameras on the internet. but what i need to find out is has anyone got one of these systems and use the tinycam app with it? i know the neighbor systems ip address and username and password and ports but at my house that is 25' from his base unit i can't get the tinycam app to see it. when the app scans. i even tried inputting the ip address and port and that failed. i as because i'm leaning to getting a kkmoon 4 in 1 nvr system so i can use it on my analog cams and my foscam cams and have just one device, but if i can't see them on the tinycam app it will be pointless. thanks this is the kkmoon system i'm thinking about. KKMOON 1080P H.265+ DVR 2.0MP CCTV Home IR Security Camera System Kit thanks for any help on this one.

not quite sure what you mean but if your asking why i want the device to work on tinycam is because i use tinycam app to view my cameras on a tablet and my phone at home and my phone when gone. thanks.
-
yes i kind of figured it would be a closed system only for there equipment. thanks
-
well not to much on the kkmoon nvr system i guess so i will start another thread on that and one on the wifi ip cam systems anyway the ebay seller is starting to offer up a refund. so i can just toss the camera and keep the power supply for something else someday. the camera is junk as noted here and getting a refund means no yard sale to pass on the junk to someone else as well. sure would be nice if anyone has some insight on that. thank

ok can anyone tell me how this system is? KKMOON 1080P H.265+ DVR 2.0MP CCTV Home IR Security Camera System Kit H4N2 but in the description it say h264 does this sound like it may be a fair system. if it is like my zmodo i can change the default settings. also what does the below mean? is this what the system will work with? so if i was to put 4 1080p cameras on this it is at the limit even though it has 8 channels available? or it can do 4 720p and 4 960p i guess i'm not familiar with that terminology. thanks. Multi-mode input: Analog: 4*1080P(5 in 1);4*720P;4*960P Hybrid:2*720P(analog)+2*720P(network) Network:8*1080P;12*960P;8*720P;4*1080P;4*720P;1*1080P also i have another question but you may tell me to post in a new thread. can anyone tell me if i was to get one of those systems that have wifi cameras and a wifi nvr so it is all by itself for the cameras attaching to the nvr. i figure i can connect these to my network, but can i see this type of system on the tinycam app that i use for my cameras now for monitoring them? my neighbor has one and i just do not see hsi system on my tinycam app or when i do a wifi search, so are they designed to be that hidden? if so then it may be pointless to get one. for using on the tinycam app. thanks.
-
i bet they do. i guess i don't quite know how they can get data but i'm sure they have a way. but that very well could be from all the cameras. what i may do is put it on a router that is not connected to the network it will be secured better that way, but i still would like to be able to switch the default settings. so i do not have anyone messing with it that happens to be driving by, chances are slim but still possible. so send some of those links along i sure would like to see them. when i was looking into reviews i did not find any, but i bet there are tons of them. so i just did a amazone and yep there are tons of neg reviews. although i do not have those same issues as of yet, but i expect them to start if i was to keep it online for any amount of time. i was looking for a cheaper camera to test before i got a more expensive one and this company sure hit the mark. but you can find poor reviews on any camera this one has its share. so i guess i will stick to foscam and look for some bargains. thanks.

thanks but i have changed my ip address a few times and it stuck. i can do it in the router setting and the netgear forums claim if it turn off dns and enter a new ip address comcast accepts it. also i have changed the ports and username and password on my foscam cameras and gave the information to the tinycam app maker and he could not get into my cameras to see what he had to do the fix his app. seems to me that is pretty secure if i give it to someone and they can get it. my guess is the firewall kept him out. i have ran port scanner and prot probe and i have only the ports open that is required. so if i was to change the camera ports and username and password it may not keep heimvision out but it should keep others out. if the cameras were not able to do that by changing the username and password and ports then all of them would be useless for security. thanks
-
so i forgot to ask if anyone happens to know if there is a way to get into these cameras and change the default setting? or it that pointless. like what was mentioned they are not a very good system by themselves but if you can change the username and password and the ports like on the foscam cameras then you can get them more secure. there app is useless and so far i haven't found a camera program that lets me get into them and change these fields. there has to be a program that works but my search is not getting me anywhere. thanks
-
thanks that is what i figured. so like you say i do not want it on my system if i can't change the defaults as like you say it leaves a big hole in my security. i asked to return it and if they don't i will leave them a big neg feedback, they hate neg feedback and then it will set on the yard sale table. i know how to change my ip address but no sence doing that for just one camera. i got one to test it as you just never know. so now i know. thanks for this and as you say i kind of figured this after i got it and discovered it was basically junk. thanks bp.

i had a question going about this but a bit different question so let me start over with a dfferent approch. i have a 16 channel dvr and i have a 8 channel nvr the 16ch dvr has 8 old zmodo analog cams on it and it has 4 of the switchable tyep analog cameras, they are set to tvi but cn be set to cbbs, ahd, cvi formats. i have the nvr with 6 foscam ip wifi / network cameras on it and those foscam cameras are only using the network as i turned off the wifi. so because it looks like i may not be be able to find a unit that will work good with both types of cameras what do you think of this dvr? HD 16CH DVR XVR for AHD CVBS CVI TVI Cameras NEW Solution HD 1080P free P2P DDNS for just the analog cameras for what i have now and future cams. and i will just keep using the monitor switch to switch back and forth to see the units as i need to check on them for recording? here is a link to this so you might check it out and tell me if i might be able to at least work with this one and then if i need get another nvr when needed just for the ip cams? https://www.ebay.com/i/162529856764?_trksid=p11011.c100360.m3755&_trkparms=aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20150112100634%26meid%3D98e0d2ba5fc94f25b488de5c06043a25%26pid%3D100360%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D8%26mehot%3Dpp%26b%3D1%26sd%3D143665192190%26itm%3D162529856764%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D11011%26algv%3DDefaultOrganic%26brand%3DLEXACCTV&ul_noapp=true thanks for the help and ideas? i would really like to get one unit for both types of cameras but that is getting to be a hard topic to resolve. thanks bp.
-
thanks i will just leave it as it is. it is not worth messing around with anymore. it does what i want now i was just looking to get a dvr at least that would be an upgrade for the new cameras. my nvr can see those analog cameras now and when that system fails i may just get a system that has the cameras with it. maybe even a wifi system that is a stand alone system. again that answered that question thanks a lot now i know.

here is the same unit that has some specs, thanks https://www.ebay.com/itm/162529856764?hash=item25d788ccfc:g:N2IAAOSwfDle9Rf8

ok i do not expect a lot for 50$ but for just recording my yard it might be as good or better than the unit i have now. but it also sounds like you do not like p2p? i have that turned of in my router also onvif is turned of on the cameras and i see them good on my tinycam app. and the monitor both my current units are connected to. so if the p2p is for there app and outside the home viewing i do not use that or even want it. and if i get another unit i will turn off all the services in the net serve and change the port to my my port that i now use. thanks for that help so far.

16CH 1080P FHD Security Camera System 5IN1 AHD DVR CCTV Digital Video Recorder question does anyone know if this recorder system will work with analog cameras the ahd, cvi, tvi, and ip network cameras? i have the zmodo 16 ch dvr the i have 8 analog cams on and i have 4 cams the i can switch to 4 different formats, but i have then now set to tvi. i have an 8 ch nvr unit the i have 6 foscam r2 ip cams on. on the nvr i can show both the ip network cams and also the zmodo cams, the analog and tvi cams and also record them on that nvr. what i would like to do is have one unit that will show all the cameras i have, plus as i replace the old analog cams the new formats are becoming ahd cvi tiv and the new hd uhd fhd resolutions that the zmodo is not like very well. so i have asked tons of ebay sellers and noe one have said yes or no plus i have sent kkmoon this same question 4 times and still waiting on the first reply. so i'm hoping someone here can tell me if this will work or what dvr/nvr unit will do the job. i hate to just start tossing money at systems until i happen to find one that works. i could get lucky the first time but!. so does anyone here know or may have this unit working like i need? in the future i will need to start replacing the analog type cams and because i have the wire up it will be an easy change and if i was to change them all to ip then i have to run power to them etc. so getting a system that will work with all my cameras is the best option. thanks much bp.

kkmoon 16CH 1080P FHD Security Camera 5IN1 question
corviarbob replied to corviarbob's topic in Security Cameras
so what i'm trying to do if possible is reinstall the firmware. but when i go to the mfg site and download the firmware i get a bin file and i copied that directly to the usb thumb drive and then i put the stick into the nvr board and turn it on but it will not just run from the usb ports to re install that file. so i went into the setting and i have update options but it will not run the stick so i guess i'm out of luck on this board. unless someone happens to have a way around that. i have 2 usb ports in the back none in the front. thanks -
kkmoon 16CH 1080P FHD Security Camera 5IN1 question
corviarbob replied to corviarbob's topic in Security Cameras
ok thanks i guess i will have to leave it as it is. the dvr works on the original zmodo cameras and those 4 into 1 cams that i have set now on tvi. and both the zmodo 8 ch and the h.264 dvr can work with. it h.264 is a format i know but that is all the information i got with it. i typed the numbers in the seb and it came back h.264 dvr. so that is really a generic dvr for sure. it even came in a black and white box. about as generic as they get i guess. but i got that one maybe 15 years ago and shortly after that i got the zmodo with 8 cameras in a kit. i installed that zmodo kit and then that zmodo dvr failed so just for kicks i put the h.264 on the cameras and they played. over the years i added the 4 into 1 cameras one at a time until i had 12 cameras. then i got the ip cameras and started using the phone and tinycam app and then got the 20$ nvr and plugged it into the network and it found all the ip cams and even the zmodo dvr. what i'm trying to do is get a system that will see all the cameras on one unit so i don't have to be switching back and forth on the monitor to see how the cameras are doing and to check if they are recording now and them. by the sound of it i might as well just leave it all alone and keep it the way it is. i got that 32 cam nvr in hopes that this unit would work just like the 8 ch unit i'm using now, i can see any camera that is plugged into the dvr plus all the ip cameras. on the new 32 ch nvr board it will see the dvr just fine but it will not let me past the username and password for the ip cameras. if someone had a fix for that i woud just fine and start using that 32 ch board. i went to the company that makes it to see if they had any updated firmware and the firmware they have i downloaded to my laptop and then copied it to a thumb stick and then put it into the board and booted the board like some youtubes said to do for firmware updates but this board would not look at the usb first. there are no settings that i can find to re do the boot order. unless i have to use a particular usb port? i used the top one in back of the board not the bottom port on the back of the board. maybe i can try that and see if it will boot from the stick and do an update. it will not update form inside the program i tried that as well. so thanks for the help bp -
kkmoon 16CH 1080P FHD Security Camera 5IN1 question
corviarbob replied to corviarbob's topic in Security Cameras
thanks i wonder why you say that, as the 8 ch nvr i have now works good and i get perfect resolution and playback on all the cameras that i have on it. and that is 20$ unit from china. and it is not connected to any outside servers as i have turned all of them off. i still have yet to find a 4 into 1 unit and the cctv camera world could not find a 4 into 1 either they said that is in the camera and not the recorder. so if you have alink to a 4 into 1 recorder feel free to send that along for me to check out. thanks bp -

corviarbob replied to corviarbob's topic in Security Cameras
well one person said to look for a 4 into 1 and that was all i could find. i did not see it either but posted it because of the suggestion. here is the link to the one i have that is not letting me get to the ip cameras http://www.xiongmaitech.com/en/index.php/product/product-detail/4/110/409 on the 32 ch nvr board in the menu i can do a search for the cameras on my network. i have 2 other nvr systems and those both do it the same way as this system does. it shows all the cameras on my network and the dvr cameras show as 1 camera and i just change the channels and i can get anyone i want to show up on this board. it also show all the ip cams but then when i click to add to the lower section they go with the fault bad username and password. i click on one of them and it opens a popup that has admin for default and blank password. i have entered every username and password and it fails to show. and i even took a camera that uses admin for un and the pw of 123456 and it still fails. i even changed one camera to the same username and password the nvr uses and nothing works. go check out the link as that is the exact board i have every number on my board matches this board in the link. thanks -

kkmoon 16CH 1080P FHD Security Camera 5IN1 question
corviarbob replied to corviarbob's topic in Security Cameras
this is a nvr board it did not have the case. it came with the hd cables and nothing else. it connects just like the nvrs that you see with cases. i plug it into the power add the hard drive plug in the network cable and the mouse and monitor and it came on asked me to change the first login username and password. then it found the hd and formatted it to work on that board. then i went into the menu and told it to find the cameras on my system and it found the zmodo dvr and it found the nvr i have already. i could add each dvr camera by inputting the dvr ip address and the channel for each camera and they showed up on the monitor. then it found the ip cameras and said wrong username and password, i entered the cameras username and password but it would not show them. on my current nvr it does the same thing and i entered the same info and it shows the cameras. i even put a different ip camera on the network and my current nvr found it and let me add it to the system but this board did the same thing wrong username and password. and that cam uses andmin and 123456 for that info. so that board has some kind of firmware issues. i went to the website that makes them and got the firmware for this board and put it on a thumb drive and then put that stick into the board and powered as some website say to do for installing firmware into the nvr units and this board told me it was the wrong software and would not use it. on the website that firmware was for the exact number on the board they show as the one i have. this board numbers are nbd8032ra-ul-v2 and 3536cv 100 v1.02 0398205770 if you look that up it should look like this one this is the one i have but if i can find the 4 into 1 as suggested to work i can try it. but need more info to fine one. thanks -

corviarbob replied to corviarbob's topic in Security Cameras
ok thanks where did you see the 4 in 1 kit? send a link if you can. i have a nvr board that is said to be a 32 ch board and it show the dvr perfect but will not show the ip cameras all i get is wrong username and password. so i went to the mfg site and downloaded the firmware and the board would not install that firmware it said wrong firmware. so the seller did refund my money and now waiting on a return slip for it. but figured if the firmware would fix it i would just keep it and give the seller back the money. thanks if i can find that 4 in 1 i can try that. -
kkmoon 16CH 1080P FHD Security Camera 5IN1 question
corviarbob replied to corviarbob's topic in Security Cameras
ok thanks a lot for this info. so do you think i could connect up 12 analog cameras of different formats most are analog older zmodo and 4 ahd tvi cvi type and 6 ip cams to one of these without to many issues? at this time i have the dvr with the 12 cams on it and the nvr with a combination of ip cams and some of the dvr cams on it. what i would like to do is use one unit to record and view all the cameras on and not have to switch back and forth to see them on one monitor. thanks bp -
kkmoon 16CH 1080P FHD Security Camera 5IN1 question
corviarbob replied to corviarbob's topic in Security Cameras
thanks i guess i do not quite understand the rebadged equipment statement. is kkmoon not a good unit? i do see on that seems to have the same specs called floureon so is that also a rebadged unit? and if they are rebadged what might the parent unit be? also i guess i do ot understand the adding cameras and the channel count goes down. seems if it is capable of showing 16 cameras it should be able to show anywhere from 1 to 16 cameras? unless your telling me if i ut 8 dvr cameras on this then it will not be able to get ip cameras added to the total camera count? that puzzles me as i have a nvr the show 8 sections for cameras and i can put any amount up to 8 cameras on that unit in any combination of dvr and ip cams. so i was figuring this would do the same thing. i just got a nvr card from an ebay seller that they said would get 32 channels but it will find all the dvr cameras and not one ip camera, it tells me to enter username and password for the cameras and i have tried everything to get that to happen and it comes back with the same statement. that board will not let me add ip cameras and it is an nvr board. unless anyone here happens to know how to make the new nvr board to be able to get past the username and password. i even reset one camera to factory and tried and nothing. the foscam will not let you use admin and anything else for a password you have to change it the first thing. so i tried another ip cam that has on the sticker admin and 123456 for a password and this board would not let me do that either. if i could find a way to reflash this to even16 cams i would give it a go. but it would be nice to reflash it for the 32 cams it is said it has in it. thanks
