    A patch cable: is wired straight through.. ie. the wire for pin 1 is the same on this end as it is on the other end. and you guessed it, pin 3 is also pin 3 on the other end. and so on.... A Cross over cable is wired Pin 1 to pin 3 Pin 2 to pin 6 Pin 3 to pin 1 pin 6 to pin 2 as per Cisco. Im prety sure they got it right.. Matt~

    Says you can buy an EZ crimper.. I think a regular RJ45 crimper would work. wouldn't it? I think this is an awesome idea!! I usualy use an eye loupe to see them! I'm getting some! Matt~

    Hi there! I’m new here.. My name is Matt, I live in NH. I am a field engineer. I currently work on Video inspection systems that are tied to motor control systems. I have a background in IT and systems and I consult on the side for extra cash. Recently (month or so ago) a customer of mine asked me to design and install a video security system. Kind of out of my scope. I ended up outsourcing that job, but was intrigued. Now I am considering starting a video security company. So this is a starting point for me.
