questions on the frame rate of mega cam on Aver systems.. How's the frame on live display and the recorded video What is the recording resolution? 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768? I have messed with Vivotek cameras and encoder, it seems slow.

Sorry guys, I tried to add the rest of cameras to the list but I don't see any options to do that. Maybe the forum doesn't support that feature or I just don't know where to look.. anyway just post Thanks

Which MANUFACTURERS make the best cameras Guys, in general products...I like to see what you guys think Let me know if I missed any main players on the poll Thanks

I agree with above you get what u paid for. Most stand alone are craps and hard to use

If you are viewing it from remote site, it could just be your transmission rate on the DVR settings. Pretty much all of the DVR i have seen have setting usually on network setting to send high to low quality video cross tcp/ip $150 camera should give you a decent picture

The problem of putting it outside it can be tamper with and when it rain there's nothing to wipe of the lens It's got to be able to see at night while the car is moving..let just say it's in a police car

Ok, I'm sure a lot of you guys may have explained on this topic before. I'm still not clear on this camera spec because a lot of website listed that spec differently I have seen a lot of website store posting spec of. 480TVL camera NTSC: 510 x 492 Now, usually this NTSC line is on 420 tvl cameras.. Are there rules that you guys goes by when looking at camera specs.. 420tvl 510x492 540tvl 768 x 494 ? I know it's more complex than a TVL..lens, ccd add on features etc.. but i want to keep the topic on TVL Thanks

Don't you have to pay a broker or custom if u import anything over 1000 or 2000 dollars?
-
Well, maybe it's a resources hog? What board, chip, ram and video card did u go with?
-
Hey 501, you can't view all 32 ch on the main screen and on the rms client side? How's the transmission rate coming through the rms ? Can you back up or write avi directly to cd/dvd? Have u tested audio quality? Thanks

Geovision Port Forwarding for remote viewing (again!)
Ubon94 replied to Franko180's topic in Geovision
You can forward it each one by one or you can port range it. Port 80 is not automatic, u still have to forward it. enable tcp if option is available -
Yes, I see that Geovision have a better range of cards. Like how Aver have a wide range of IP cams support
