    NVR vs Client Software

    More and more customers are interested in IP Solutions. Some even required pure IP systems (not with video servers). My options to give a solution are: 1) To have NVR (Network Video Recorder) software solution with IP cameras 2) To have IP cameras that come with client software My question is what's the difference? Why should someone buy a NVR if he can configure & manage his IP cameras through the client software?

    If you are looking for a high-end solution with analytics maybe NiceVision from NICE Systems is what you are looking for. Another company I saw in IFSEC is Indigo Vision. Their demo was quite interesting.
