Recently bought 6 hikvision (ds-2cd2032f) 4 mm IP 3 megapixel cameras for my home which is 2 stories & 3300 sqft. List of items have looked at.
-6 hikvision cameras (already purchased)
-cat 5 or cat 6 ethernet cable
-Hikvision-made 4 Channel NVR with 4 POE Interfaces, 2 SATA Interfaces for 2 HDD
-RJ45 Mini 10/100Mbps 8 Ports Fast Ethernet Network Switch For Desktop PC
-WD My Cloud 4TB personal cloud storage (NAS)
Questions:
1)Do I need all of the above listed items?
2)Is there anything else missing & should look into purchasing?
3)Once the NAS is full, will it record over what is already there?
4)Planning to record by "motion"; about how many days would the NAS handle?
5)What would the connection map look like?
6)Do I still need a software, such as blue iris?
7)Does my computer have to be on 24/7? How about if I want to take it with me elsewhere? Will that impact the setup?
