  1. Hello All, I am having problems backing up a few hours of video to a USB drive. My NVR is Samsung SRN-472S I have included a picture of the options I get when I choose backup in the options. The external USB flash drive is instantly recognised. After I choose the date, time and cam one the OK button at the bottom is still greyed out. I noticed near the bottom it says PATH and these numbers change to match the starting point to back up but when I enter the END info at the top these do not show up in the path at the bottom. I don’t really understand what PATH is for. There is also a drop down menu next to TYPE giving me the option of NVR or SEC I’ve tried both and still the ok button is greyed out. I have also tried using another USB flash. Thanks Scott

  3. Hello I managed to set up a Hikvision DDNS service today so hopefully I can help. I also got “device does not exist” when adding a device on my new http://www.hik-online.com account. When inputting the device serial number you only need to input the last 9 numbers not the whole serial number. The device domain name that you create has to be unique that no one else has resisted. I use my year of birth with a few random letters. The following youtube video is the best I’ve found for setting up DDNS. Watching from 18:35 might be helpful.
  4. Hello Guys, When I connect my NVR Samsung SRN-472S to my network it connects as it should to my browser on my PC for live view. My problem is when the NVR is connected to my home network it stops all my Wi-Fi devices from working cell phones, printer, PlayStation, laptops. They can all connect and show full Wi-Fi strength but will not actually load a webpage. The only thing that will work over Wi-Fi is live view of my Hikvision camera via the NVR on my PC and laptop. Does anyone know how I can get all my wireless devices working as normal when connected to live view. The NVR connects to my network via a TP-LINK powerline adapter, I really can’t see how this would cause a problem. Thanks Scott
  5. Yes, the laptop was the only network cable connected to the NVR, it was not connected to the network during the test. The camera was connected during the test via PoE port in NVR. I looked in the DHCP setting on my NVR it said status run and had a full list of all my wireless/wired IP addresses. I changed the status from RUN to STOP and the list of connected IPs disappeared. All my devices are now working as they should. Live view on my browser no longer causes me any trouble, ive been testing it for three hours without any problems. I have one camera that goes into the back of the NVR via the PoE port, the NVR is then connected by a network cable to a TP-link powerline plug, in the next room another TP-link plug connects via Ethernet to my NETGEAR router. This seems to be the correct way to use the NVR so I don’t understand why the DHCP setting was on by default, I guess Samsung had a reason.   6. I ran the software, thanks for sending it, it’s a great bit of software. I could see all the stuff on my network when I pressed LAN except the TP plugs.
  7. Sounds like you have an IP address conflict or the NVR is working as another DHCP server in your network, or the live view stream overloads your Wi-Fi. If you plug a laptop directly to the NVR, does the laptop get an IP address? I’ve connected my laptop directly into each of the two Ethernet ports on the NVR. Both give me the IP 192.168.0.12 It connects as ETHERNET 2 It also says IPv4 DNS Servers: 168.126.63.1

I can remember a few months ago when I first tried to fix this that the IP for my phone would change to 192.168.0.200 and the wifi would no longer work. This didn't happen today so I didn't mention it. It looks like 192.168.0.9 is the IP for the camera not the NVR i've just looked at the network settings of the NVR I have two Ethernet connections, Network 1 (camera) Network 2 (viewer) Im using Network 1 to connect to my network this has its own IP 192.168.0.200 (what my wireless devices sometimes change to) I changed this from its default of 192.168.1.200 when first setting up my camera because I had problems registering my camera and the excellent advice from this forum told me to change the default. I think I was wrong. 192.168.0.9 is the ip for my NVR when I enter 192.168.0.1 to access my network i get a list on wired and wireless connections. the only wired connection that is detected is 192.168.0.9 this is what I type in to a browser for live view. When I turn off the tp-link connected to the NVR my only other wired connection shows up http://192.168.0.8 this is a Satellite TV box. The IP for the TP-link connected to my hub never shows up in the list of connected devices when I enter 192.168.0.1 Ive found a CD that came with my TP-link I will try and use that to confirm the IP. If possible I will try and change the IP to a higher number.
  12. If I understand you correctly. The IP of the TP-link plugs is 192.168.0.9 I don't know how to change them to a higher IP. Thanks scott
  13. Thanks everyone. I'm now up and running thanks to the help I've received. I changed the NVR ip from 192.168.1.200 to 192.168.0.200 Then I used the rtsp stream below. rtsp://admin:12345@192.168.0.9:554/h264/ch1/main/av_stream I was just about to give up and sell my NVR, I'm glad I didn't as the Samsung NVR appears to be very good quality, much better than the Sannce NVR and Swann DVR I've had before and disliked. Hello all, I have a Hikvision DS-2CD2632F-I camera connected to a NVR Samsung SRN-472S when I try to register the camera it says "There is no camera that supports ONVIF protocols" The Hikvision website says the camera is ONVIF compatible but it doesn't mention ONVIF in the long lost of protocols. The camera software is V5.1.2.140116 Please can someone advise if i can get these to work together.

I've used ONVIF Device manager V2.2.250 to determine that the RTSP stream should be. rtsp://192.168.0.9:554/Streaming/Channels/1?transportmode=unicast&profile=Profile_1 My problem now it that the character & is greyed out and can not be selected. (see photo) I cant understand why character & cannot be selected. I felt I was finally making progress, now I've got another setback. I think now my camera and NVR are totally incompatible.
  16. Hello, I've tried the above and still no success. The ip adress for my NVR is 192.168.1.200 and my camera is 192.168.0.9 although both are connected to my network the NVR is the only connected device that starts with 192.168.1 everything else starts with 192.168.0 would it help if i changed the NVR ip.   17. I've managed to set the camera up on the network by changing the ip address using iVMS 4200 software. I can log in to the camera settings on the network using the new ip address, but the camera still wont register on the Samsung NVR. Its still saying "There is no camera that supports ONVIF protocols" When I try to register manually it still doesn't work. SADP software tells me the camera is port 8000 When I press auto register the camera model number and ip address show up with the MAC & port values blank, there is no way in the auto mode to manually input the MAC & PORT. I run a connection test and it fails. i've included a pic I found out the camera software is V5.2.3 build 141024 and not V5.1.2 like it says on the box. Thanks Scott

  19. Thanks for the reply. I'm very nervous about updating the camera software as I've heard people say if you do the camera will be bricked and not work again. i've tried two ways to connect 1st connect cam straight into a POE port 2nd connect via a 8 port switch and power the cam separately. There are three ways to manually connect on the NVR by choosing what protocol you want. Samsung, ONVIF and rtsp I know Samsung is for Samsung products only. I pressed ONVIF but it asked for ONVIF port number, I have no idea what the number could be. Thanks Scott
