Can anybody that has gotten the GV-Aview Android app to work detail how? I've got GV 8.4 installed, WEBCAM enabled, 3G enabled, JPEG enabled, all the ports have been verified as open. When I connect the GV-Aview app it gives me a black screen and then after about a minute a pop up that says "Connection to server error!". This is setup to NVR/DVR view, port 8866 on the local network. Thanks.

I've already done exactly that. That is why I mentioned the different port.

Those ports are open and I can telnet to them. Actually 8866 is 18866 due to port conflict behind a NAT firewall. However the others are the same and also open.

OK. It's been a while since I have had to do any serious configuration changes on a Geovision 8.2 system. This system has 16 cameras and no has a GV-IO USB attached. The IO has now been connected to an alarm system. Where I have fallen fuzzy on is setting up the schedule. I have 7 of the cameras (outside) each set to record motion, the others (inside) are set to record motion, invoke alerts and trigger a relay that sets off the alarm system. I have an input that is controlled by the alarm system being disarmed setup to Deactivate Notifications and the relay. I also have another input setup for when the alarm system has been tripped and to invoke alerts. The inside cameras, on motion, trigger the alarm if it is enabled, if the alarm goes off it triggers the alarm input of the IO. I want the system to record motion 24x7, but only send email/pager alerts when the input says the alarm system has been tripped. I would also like it to include a camera picture with the email when the alarm is tripped especially if the root cause is motion detect. If I setup a schedule that is Record, Motion Detect, Pager/Email, and Output with a 24x7 time frame will it work as I want or will there be emails while the alarm is disabled? Thanks.

ActiveX only works within Firefox on Windows if you have an addon for Firefox that I think has been depreciated. Or you aren't really using Firefox for that page because you are using the IETab addon that allows you to view a page VIA IE in a Firefox tab. OK Rory, I was just looking at a system with 8.12 and trying to find the settings to work with Java so that Firefox can be used. Nothing in the Webcam window seems to point to something useful. How about an step by step? Now if I can just find the time to research the 8.12 upgrade download for the updated GV addons like CenterV2 and RPB Server.

I've just gotten started with Geovision 8.1.1 and after reading the manuals and playing with the software I have found that there the two don't overlap 100%. Is there any way to control wither emails are sent for Lost Video events? Preferably by camera.

Thanks. As I said the PDF doesn't always logically cover everything in the actual program.
