does IP Camera PTZ control use Ethernet or RS485?

Regarding Hikvision 4MP Dome Camera with 2.8-12mm Varifocal Lens (this is an IP camera powered via PoE)... are the CONTROL SIGNALS for the motorized zoom lens sent over the same Ethernet cable (which is used for power and video)... or do I need to ALSO connect the 2-wire RS485 to the NVR? Thanks so much for your reply! Dave
