Hello, I have a lot of work experience with CCTV, but I am entering a realm that I haven't touched on before. All of my installs at work are connected via CAT5. Let's say hypothetically, I want to buy a Lorex HDIP822VW. I want a system that I can access over my cell phone when out of town. I built a new house and I already have ran a CAT5 line to each one of my 4 camera positions. However, I wasn't able to place my cable router near where I have my home runs coming into the house. NVR will be on 1st floor and router on 2nd floor. I really don't want to fish a line all the way downstairs so I was wondering the most economical way of doing this. I have read about power-line adapters, but I am not sure of their reliability. A bridge seems to make the most sense, but the cost doesn't appeal to me. A wireless USB adapter that plugs in to the NVR would be the cure-all, but I have not found any references telling me that this will work. Any advice would be much appreciated. If there is an IP NVR that is available that has a wireless card for internet connection then please let me know.
Thanks,
