  1. Hello. First post here. Been reading on the site for a while. Learned a ton! Need some help on which cameras I need for my purposes. I think each of my camera needs are a little different from one another. Here’s what I am looking for: • Installing 3 cameras probably one at a time over the next year • All cameras will be connected to a Synology 412+ • Need motion sensors with email/text alerts • Need to be able to log in from phones to view • All cameras will need to have POE • Budget is $250-300ish per camera. Front porch  Camera will be covered from weather  Night vision is needed, however I have under-eave lights that automatically come on at night, so it won’t be complete darkness.  Primary purpose for this camera is to monitor the front door and porch. I think it if get a 2.8 lens it will probably cover a good portion of the front yard based on where I plan to place it.  No preference as to whether it can pan, tilt, zoom Back Porch  Camera will be covered from weather  Night vision is needed and this camera will not get much light.  Just want to monitor the back porch area. Again, I think a 2.8 lens will give me good coverage of everything I need  No preference as to whether it can pan, tilt, zoom Garage  Camera will be under the eave, but will be likely to get wet from rain  Night vision is needed, however I have under-eave lights that automatically come on at night, so it won’t be complete darkness.  This camera will have quite a bit of area to cover. I would like to be able to pan and tilt if needed. Appreciate the help. Looking forward to seeing the responses.
