Anybody?

Hello, I'm a newbie with DVR systems and i have a few questions. I attached a picture with the Encode settings on my dvr From what i understand here i can set the video option for main stream and sub stream, but when each of this this profiles apply? This setting are only for live preview mode? I setup up the dvr to record only on motion detection. At what resolution and quality the recorded movie is recorded? I hope you can help my to clarify this aspects. Thank you.
