  2. hiya peeps! im using a Hikvision DS-7104NI-SL NVR along with 4 hikvision cameras , various models the issue im having is when i set the cameras to motion detect EXPERT mode , the NVR changes ALL of the camers back to NORMAL mode and i get too many hits on the motion detection is there any way to STOP the NVR modifying my Cameras motion detect settings , i have even tried turning off motion detect on the NVR and it turns it off on the cameras aswell!!! its driving me nuts help would be appreciated thanks!
  3. good idea ill give it a try ... so far i have managed to make it behave by turning off motion detect on each camera in the nvr , then turning it back on via the cameras themselves , so far the nvr hasnt changed them back to normal mode motion but will setup non admin accounts on the cameras if it plays silly again
  4. yeah the nvr has pretty much taken control of the cameras but i dont want it to do that i have already shaded areas i dont want motion to detect but the nvr can only set sensitivity to 0 or 20,40,60 etc and 20 looks like to be too sensitive!

    Hikvision 7104NI-SL/W

yes i am realizing this now i will have to just use the box as a wired nvr as this is a nightmare to get working wireless
  6. Gday I recently purchased a hikvision 7104NI-SL/W , so far all my hikvision wifi cameras are connecting and I can see the feed on the screen I have connected I'm issue is that once the cameras are connected , they don't have access to the Internet , only the network I'm using the built in wifi router and also have the nvr wired into the router , the router has given the nvr an IP address of 192.168 etc so it's clear the nvr can see the router , but it appears it can't access the Internet side of the router or it's not passing the net to the connected cameras Upnp also connects ports automatically then 20 seconds later they come up as " inactive ". Is there a trick to getting the nvr to have the Internet working on it ? I need the ip cameras to access the net to send emails for motion notifications Any help would be appreciated thanks
