  1. After further testing, I'm beginning to wonder if it's a buffering issue. If I leave the cam open in the IP Cam Viewer app for several minutes, the video plays as expected. Unfortunately, I'd like that frame rate immediately as I get with the other cameras.
  2. I just received a Dahua IPC-HFW2300R-Z 3 Megapixel Motorized zoom 2.8-12mm cam. It's the first Dahua I've owned, so it took a bit of doing to find my way around the cam. The issue I'm experiencing is when accessing the camara via the internet using the Android App IP Cam Viewer. If I access the cam via a computer at my residence where the cam is, but over the internet vs over the local network (i.e. via http://internet address:port), I can view the video in real time just fine at what appears to be a decent frame rate. When I access the cam via IP Cam Viewer on my Android, I get a very slow frame rate, with the image refreshing about every 5 seconds. I access other Axis cams via this software and don't have this issue. This app is accessing the Dahua via http, as that was the only way I could pull video from the camera, but the Axis cams that don't have an issue are set up the same way as well. Any ideas about why the Dahua is so slow on the Android? It's about to go back as I have to have good remote real-time access. Thanks!
  3. Thanks. I was finally able to access it via RTSP, but the result is about the same. It's as if the camera's availability is much slower via the Android. It took a number of tries to configure via RTSP. The first few times the app reported that it couldn't retrieve an image from the camera. The next try it did. But now I'm getting intermittant Camera Feed not Available errors.
