Hi I have stand alone system....the encode record option gives me 960H/D1/HD1/CIF I can set it to D1 and all others but not 960H...I have 960H cameras...but when it set to that the picture freezes.This system has it own monitor inbuild I thought D1 was 4:3 and 960H was 16:9 why cant I set it to 960H with the cameras.. Or will it still record to the 16:9 format being set to D1...so confused how the 960H thing works..

Why are camera sold as 960h??? If the cameras are just pal or NTSC for output. What does the 960h option do in the dvr just make the picture widescreen in 960h mode when its recording ...so d1 would be the better option anyway..forgive am very new to all this..
