I need a way to power an analog camera over 1000 feet away. The setup will be 4 cameras. 2 of them are on the house, no big deal. 1 of them is about 600 feet down the driveway and the other is 1000 feet down the driveway. I was looking at something similar to this: http://www.apexcctv.com/p-1306-9-ch-cctv-distributed-power-supply-5-amp.aspx Would that work with 18 gauge siamese wire to power the hikvision camera? thanks. So, something like this? With that converter, would I def be able to power a camera that far away? As for video signal, if I can't use Cat5 with a balun, I could always use a power amplifer. So in the picture below, assume that RG6 cable can be Cat5

What did you use to power the cameras that far away? I'm in need of a way to power an analog camera over 1500 feet.
