  1. I'd suggest adjusting your budget expectations. You want installation by a pro? Plan on $500. for site visit, install wiring, setup cameras and config of NVR, PC's, mobile devices, etc.. Why do you think you need PTZ cameras? Do you expect to need to repoint the cameras often? I think you'll find it's better to install more cameras instead of PTZ cameras, or perhaps varifocal cameras would be adequate? A possible set of analog equipment might be: Hik DS-7204HGHI-SH-3TB DVR ~ $360. DSC DLT20ABW-V -1080P cam ~ $130. ea DSC DST2DIV ~ cam $50. ea. DSC DPWR5A pwr supply + connectors & cable ~ $100. A pro might tell you to not bother with analog and suggest doing it 'right' with a NVR and IP cameras (which would cost even more). Hope that helps or at least gives you some ideas for your project.

    Help needed

You need to supply more info on your setup. What's the IP address of the Zmodo DVR? What's the IP address of the Asus router? What model is your Asus router? Do you have port 34567 forwarded to DVR IP on the router? Do you have vmEyeSuper app installed on your Android phone? The Zmodo manual might help. It's at: http://www.zmodo.com/media/downloader/20140220/SCN4_SCN8_DVR_User_Manual-20140212.pdf
  3. Is it still possible to use DynDNS with a Hikvision NVR? I have a paid DynDNS account, but members.dyndns.org is no longer a valid URL. Hikvision support is no help, they just say they don't support 3rd party applications and recommend using their HiDDNS service instead. It seems account.dyn.com/entrance/ might be Server Address (instead of members.dyndns.org), but that doesn't work. I see some discussion in early 2014 at DynDNS about free hostnames no longer supported. http://www.dyncommunity.com/questions/37583/no-longer-be-supporting-free-hostnames.html If anyone is successfully using DynDNS with a Hikvision NVR, please let us know how you do it. Thanks,
  4. .. PC dealer background, but get asked to connect DVR/NVR's, IP cameras, etc.. to LAN's and get router port-forwarding configured. This forum has been helpful in understanding some of the analog and visual aspects of camera devices.
