I have a DVR with a tamper switch to let you know when the case is opened. Do I have to set that up in the BIOS or what do I do? The switch plugs into the motherboard.

yes, i just want to connect it from a wireless connection it is not a wireless dvr.....it is connected to the internet through the ethernet port on the motherboard but i want to make it wireless

Anyone have any thoughts or concerns with the Vivotek PZ6114 IP Camera, more specifically the software that comes with it? The software seems to be crap. What would you recommend for software that will not hit the pocketbook hard? (for 16 IP cameras-all PZ6114)

What does it mean when windows is embedded in the DVR? Is windows on a chip like VPON or what? I don't really understand this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!!

I usually make my DVR with the DOM chip inserted in the IDE cable that goes from the motherboard to the DVD drive. Now I have a SATA dvd drive an IDE harddrive. Can I put the DOM chip in the IDE cable running from the hard drive to the motherboard? Will it work the same or will it even work at all? Just wanted to see before I did anything in case it will ruin the DOM. Thanks for any help!!!

Its me again......in short, DVD drive hooked up to sata, hard drive with IDE with Dom chip on IDE......only have one IDE port. Bios is detecting the DOM but not the hard drive.....why is this and what do I have to do? Do I have to do something with the jumpers on the back of the hard drive?

Is there anything I have to do with the jumpers on the back of the hard drive?

I have a 64 cam dvr (only 50 ports in use) that keeps locking up when I try to access the dvr locally from a different computer. It only locks up when i try to access it from that one computer. Is there a problem with that one computer or the DVR? Any solututions are greatly appreciated!!!

Where, online, can I buy 100' and 150' plug and play cables with BNC connectors on both ends for my cameras? I have RCA to BNC right now but they don't work worth crap? I want BNC connected directly to the wire, not through RCA. Thanks Shep

I have a dvr set up so that I can view the cameras remotely. But it went down for some reason and I can't view them online. I am pretty sure the IP address hasn't changed. What other problems could it be?

I just built a dvr. I am 100% sure I have everything hooked up right. I already have windowns xp installed. Now I need to install the drivers. I have an MSI motherboard with a pentium dual core processor. The cd that came with the motherboard will not load up no matter what I do. I have built a few of these and have not done anything different (other than the dual processor this time). Is is the processor or something else? I can't figure this one out.
