Hey everybody,
I am new on here and had a few questions about licensing in NJ. I worked as an installer of CCTV, access control, and alarm systems for a little over a year.
I recently took a job at a POS systems company that is starting a department to do CCTV. In a few more years I was hoping to get my alarm system license and start my own company doing CCTV, audio/video, and alarm systems.
I was wondering if my new position (at a POS system company, not a security company though I will still be doing CCTV installations) will still count towards the experience requirement in order to get the alarm license? Also what kind of licenses are required in NJ to install CCTV and home audio/video (I know I need the alarm license for security systems)?
