Anyway down to business, got a question for some tech wizards here.
Bought me 30fps cheap dvr capture card from ebay, then won an auction for a "clicktec bv-830sdv" ptz dome. (got no info on this at all).
I already had a rs232-485 converter handy. Rigged it all up works a treat with a pentium4 with absolutely no other necessary programs on it all. 2 gig of RAM. 400 gig hard drive. All it does is record the cameras on my house, nothing else.
I need a dome housing anyway,but what i was thinking was, siting this camera in the central area of nine back gardens in a square (if you can imagine that) and giving all my neighbours the client software so that they can control the camera from their house.
With me having the sever software will I take precedence over the camera controls?
Question is: will too many commands corrupt or damage the ptz camera??
Anyone had any experience of this??
