This is my first security camera and first post so please bear with me, I'll try to provide as much info as possible.
I have recently installed a Swann ADS-466 on the exterior of my vacation home. I have it set up to broadcast via wifi to my router and then to Swann's cloud to record events and to monitor via live feed, there is no SD card in the camera.
A few days after installation (and of course once I've returned home) I noticed that when I try to view the live feed it comes across as either a pixelated or sometimes green screen or both when I try to view through one of my IOS devices on the Swann cloud app. I also seem to get less pixelation if I am viewing the live feed with my device over my cellular network vs wifi for some reason. When I view with a device connected to wifi I get a green screen the whole time. Also, after about 5 minutes of viewing the pixelation go away EXCEPT items that are moving in the field of view will be pixelated. After about 10 minutes everything seems to return to normal and items moving in the field of view are clear. As a reminder, this is only when viewing over my cellular network on an IOS device. If I try to view over wifi then I get a green a pixelated screen. When I view on PC with firefox I get maybe 10 frames 8 seconds apart then it freezes. Here is the kicker, while I'm having issue with the video on live feed, sound comes through crystal clear. The other thing that baffles me is that this issue is only on live feed. When the camera captures an event to save to the cloud the image is crystal clear. Given the symptoms this leads me to believe that it is not a problem with the camera itself, but possibly the Swann app and cloud and they way they communicate. I've reached out to tech support with no answer yet.
Here is a list of solutions I've tried.
Resetting the camera (I have it on a smart plug and can turn it on and off)
changing from 720p to 4CIF
changing from rate to 10 from 30 (default)
changing from NTSC to PAL
I have screen shots I can upload if needed. I have workers there now too so I can run tests and experiments too.
Thanks for your help in advance.
