The WVNP1004 is the Mega pixel IP camera, the Day/Night hybrid is the WVNP472. -
Panasonic BB-HCM581A vs WV-NS202A
InNorthernWeTrust replied to andrewm568's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Yes, The BB-HCM581A is designed as a webcam(consumer division.), while the WV-NS202 is a surviellence camera(Security Division.). Now, I have a lot of customers who have used the consumer line for CCTV, but I never recommend it. Especially with the WV-NS202 on the market. The NS202 is an SDIII camera(128x WDR), with auto-tracking(not the best, but it works, we use one for video conferencing sometimes.), and has dual streaming MPEG4 and JPEG outputs. -

Used to be. I was one of the volunteers to beef up our sales staff in the NJ branch. -
focusing IP cameras
InNorthernWeTrust replied to VST_Man's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Not sure about the electronic focus meter, but several Panasonic IP cameras have analog monitor outputs, Every ACTi and Toshiba camera does. I'm not sure but I believe the Covi cameras do as well. -
How many cameras? I usually ask my customers for a diagram for wireless apps because there is alot of factors to consider with wireless. Doesn't have to be too accurate, a rough sketch works. of course thats for an actual quote. For a rough estimate all I need would be number of camera locations that would need wireless systems, and if it will be a non-LOS system or if you will have LOS. And yes simply using an encoder and recording to a NVR/Hybrid is also just as effective as decoding the video at the headend(perhaps more effective because of how versatile IP cameras are. ). Using IP cameras works too.

Avalan Wireless should be able to handle this. Give them a call and they should be able to get you situated. I believe they will recommend the following: (1) AW900x - Wireless Ethernet Bridge retail $999.00 (1) AW15 - Antenna retail $99.00 Note: You will need encoder/decoders for your cameras.

Anytime! It should work fine if you use a the BNC output and run it to the DVR. I googled the power supply part number and it came up as: 12V DC 800mA Power Supply 12VDC 800mA Regulated 2.1mm female connector So any standard 800ma plug in regulated transformer should work fine.

Do you have the following? Wired Remote Controls 60ZRC006 / 60ZRC100 12VDC Power Supply 60PR12DC800 Power Cable 60C0014 Software Interfaces SFT-03005 These are the listed accessories. Looks like it comes with software for recording to a PC. And should have a remote to control the zoom. It has a BNC output for recording to DVR. Power it up and put a service monitor on the BNC out. Use the remote control(has an power out on the back for the remote) to control the zoom function. If you do not have the remote control shop for either remote part number and it should come up. From the look of it, it does not support Pelco protocal so you probably will not be able to control via your DVR. I can't post links but do a google search on 20Z704USB and a link to a spec sheet will popup.

Best solution would a a Louroe Verifact E mic + base station. I'd post a link but it wont let me.

Where can I find a video distribution amplifier? 1 in 16 out

Never had a complaint about these. KTS-250-16 I believe is the part number. Kramer makes great stuff... a little pricey though. -
Hilly terrrain with dense forest - no line of site
InNorthernWeTrust replied to sbbamafan's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
No... though Defracting is similar to that(the "Bending" I mentioned.). I can't explain it, but Avalan can. -
Spectra IVs are good units. Wide Dynamic, high zoom, every mounting accessory imaginable. As previously mentioned Panasonic has the WVCW964, which is Super Dynamic III. They also have the WVCW974 which is essentially the same unit with advanced auto-tracking, which might be a feature you would be interested in. Of course the cost is rather high.

Avalan Wireless specializes in non-LOS applications. They are ethernet bridges though, so it will need to be IP cameras or using encoders/decoders. Depending on the angle of attack you may be able to "bend" the signal over the trees. -
That Video Server idea is a good one. I'll suggest that to my customer. Thanks!

ok, i have a solution but not the right one. 5 separate location - 16 pano 484 + 1 pano wjhd300/location customer wants location 1 to be head end. problem is I am forced to transmit via internet and he wants to view all 5 DVRs at location 1 on 5 separate LCD panels. My solution: Run location one DVR to a monitor directly, have 2 PC's with 2 remote view displays open and displaying on 2 separate monitors each. Big issue - framerate/resolution. How bad would it be? There should be a T1 line on site, I'm checking on that though. This can't be the ideal solution, i'm thinking I'm missing something obvious but noone else has been able to come up with a better one.

Anyone used one of these? The Toshiba rep talked it up alot and those specs are sweet. Kinda interested in knowing if it lives up to it. Toshiba IK-65WDA 133X Dynamic Range enables the IK-65WDA to preproduce both very dark and very light images within the same frame 53 dB Signal-To-Noise Ratio makes this camera Digital Recorder Ready Digital Noise Reduction Imaging Sensor I/3" Interline Transfer CCD Effective picture elements 768 (H) x 494 (V) Resolution 520 Horizontal TVL horizontal Minimum subject illumination 0.001 lux @ F=1.2

Those words don't go well together. I have a customer that likes these, significantly less expensive than a Louroe kit - but how much quality you are sacrificing I don't know. I haven't had one come back yet... which is a good sign. IDView IV-SM5 audio surviellence kit.

No I dont know anyone who has definitely taken the classes... I have a customer who does a lot of fiber and i'll see where he has his techs learn. They have the webinars and slide shows on the bottom for the brief intro. I'd contact the local rep for real training. Tell them you'll use their product for Fiber and just have them train you. Northern Video can have a rep contact you as well. Give us a call and your account manager will arrange it.

Check your PMs.

IFS has a product training section on there site. They have one just on fiber video. Scroll down to the bottom and youll find the videos. I honestly don't know how great they are though. My line of work I just need basic knowledge on fiber.

Rory I cant send PMs yet... send one to me I'll reply to it. I have one that matches the specs.

The long range IR camera isn't hard, but the lighting might still cause problems. Arm C520HDCVFIR492 - 492' of IR(you might get away with the 280' version, but I try to overdue it when your working with import equipment.) Vitek CCTV VTC-IR1600/550 - 350' of IR. Both are a lower priced than other options listed. In my opinion the best choice would be: Panasonic WV-CP484 + good lens(Senko, Fujinon, or similar.) + Outdoor Housing + Extreme IR Illuminator like the UF100.301.

sorry, skimmed the page and thought he was a dealer. captain_morgan, PM some contact info and I can have a reseller contact you if you like the Videotec housing.
