    Holding 30 days in Geovision?

That is the EXACT case I was looking at on Newegg! The SC833.

Yeah, I know exactly what you are talking about. I have looked at them before.

    Holding 30 days in Geovision?

That is what I am looking at. I will probably have to upgrade my cases though. They are pretty old and outdated. I can fit maybe 1 more drive in them. Currently the cases are housing 4 drives. I would like to have room for at least 8. I found a nice case on newegg with a 8 bay hot swappable configuration built in for about $430. I just have to figure out if my mobo and other components will fit in it.

    Holding 30 days in Geovision?

It is a Casino environment, so yes, highest settings and 30fps is required. I am only required to hold, I think ~7-10 days. However, recent events have the higher ups wanting the ability to hold up to 30 days. The price isn't really a concern at this juncture, I am just trying to get a better feel for how much storage space I will need. I am recording at 640x480 De-interlace in the Geo MPEG4 Format.

    Holding 30 days in Geovision?

Has anybody here attempted to hold 30 days of video in Geovision? I need to figure out how to attain 30 days of storage for about 20 DVR's all running Geovision 8.2 with the GV1480 card and 16 cameras per DVR. Currently I am holding about 7 days (varies on each DVR +/- a day or two) with ~1.5TB of local storage space. How much space do you think would be required to reliably hold 30 days? Just a quick ballpark off the top of my head says about 8TB per DVR, but idk as each DVR varies based on what the cameras record. Also does anyone currently or have experience with saving data on a remote machine through Geovision? Do you experience any issues saving to a remote share aside from it being slower? I don't think I can fit the number of HHD's required for this in the case's I am using so remote storage will probably be required.

Remote ViewLog installs in Spanish...No Habla!

Regional Language settings are set to English. I'm thinking it may be an error on the disc as all of the other applications I have installed were all in English as they should be. Weird.
  7. I am trying to install the Remote ViewLog app on a client PC from my Geovision v8.11 disc, but it keeps installing in Spanish. The installer never even asks me what language I want (English). What the heck is going on here? How can I make this install in English?
