Trying to set motion detect on Dahua cams connected to Dahua NVR4216 Both settings of the area as well as the period are lost after saving them. Is this a firmware issue? Anybody experience setting up motion detect zones succesfully generating buzzing,alarm etc.....?

Got it resolved now. THe problem was that the varifocal cams first had to be upgraded to the latest firmware. I did this through the NVR. Before doing it, you must set the cams recordings off Now MD settings are kept and it works. Only thing I still have to try out is if the PTZ can be set in MD as well. AS the ptz has got no fixed view Im wondering if MD could be set for a certain pattern individually. I think this is not in the userinterface software although this should be a nice future option....

obsolete works now both on dvr and smartpss and gdmss app

got a dahua varifocal cam type IPC-HFW2200RP-Z but cant control it through SmartPSS software. Also got a PTZ running there without control problem. How can I adjust the focus of the IPC-HFW2200RP-Z otherwise? There is no manual adjustment possibility. Do I need a firmware update for the NVR? The NVR Im using is the Dahua NVR4216-8P-4K
