How can I format the drive if the DVR doesn't load up to the menu?

I have a 4 ch DVR sistem. One day I had no image from cameras and after asking community on the forum I replaced the HDD. Now when I switch on the DVR it restart itself after 10-15 seconds in a loop. Does not load up to the menu. Any suggestions?

I replaced the HDD with a purple WD. But now the DVR is not loading up to the menu and is restarting after every 5-10 seconds

No. The system does not recognise it.

So changing the hard drive will solve the problem? Any recommendation for type or manufacturer for HDD? Thanks

Hello. I have a 3 camera sistem. Few days ago I heard a strange noise from the DVR. Now it stopped but I don't have any image from the cameras. None of them. When I checked the last recordings it didn't show anything on my HDD. Any ideas what is wrong in the sistem? Cheers
