    CCTV remote viewing problem

It seems that an i.p. address was indeed inputed incorrectly in my router settings...aherm....ooops...must admit it was my bungling about that did it. I thank you for your advice those who replied, you know who you are, and also Rory. My cctv is now up and running and viewable outside my home network...thanks once again, Graham, UK

    CCTV remote viewing problem

Just in addition to the above info, my ISP is bt dot com here in the UK and my port has already been forwarded on my only router to that of my DVR so they match. My port no. of the DVR is 50,000 by the way..again, many thanks in advance for any info given...cheers.

    CCTV remote viewing problem

I'm banging my head against a brick wall at the moment with my new cctv installation and hope anyone can help me. I can view my cctv in Internet Explorer here at home and also with thr remote viewing software the DVR came with, but when I go to a friends house and use his wireless connection to view my cctv it won't connect. I can surf the web ok, I just can't see my cameras. Any advice is appreciated as I was hoping I could view them from anywhere in the world. I'm hoping I'm doing something simply wrong...thanks in advance, Graham UK
