Hi, I have an IPC-HDW4300C (from china) with current firmware V2.420.0005.0.R, have tried load a newer firmware but the camera refused to load (native error)
I tried with port 3800 and english config tool, the same.
I tried to replace the check.img from a chinese firmware and the upgrade goes fine (I can see in telnet all the unpacking of the firmware).
Then it says that the camera will reboot, and here something curious happens.
I can see from a continuous ping that the network interface goes up for one or two seconds and then it goes down, this happens three or four times till the interface comes up stable and I can access the camera.
Now the firmware is still V2.420.0005.0.R, it looks like it is automatically reverting back.
I tried both with V2.420.0006.0.R and V2.420.0009.0.R firmware versions.
The strange part is also that (before upgrading the firmware) the other day I was looking for the language file and I could only find the simpchinese.txt and no trace of english.txt but the webinterface is all in english.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
