I am really hoping this is the right section for this...
Current Setup:
I have 4 DS-2CD2632F-IS external cameras and 3 DS-2CD3132F-IW internal cameras.
They are linked to a Windows 7 Pro desktop running iVMS 4200 via cat6 ethernet.
They all work beautifully, I only have one question.
I am trying to setup the sensitivity for each motion detection area I have defined.
it seems that regardless of how low I set the "Proportion of object on area" vs. "Sensitivity", I just can't get it to start recording a human walking in the distance...
How do these two items work in relation to the alarm being triggered?
As you can see in the image, the area in the back is a neighbors house (a good friend) and I'm also monitoring his house in case of break ins.
The reason I ask is because we just had an incident in the neighborhood and I had to locate some footage, which I found... but while checking things and fine tuning, I noticed the alarm wasn't being triggered while there was a person walking in the furthest area.
How do I make sure it records even the slightest movement?
