Security system nvr works on one tv but won't my other tv?

Hooking my zmodo nvr to my tv. I have a tv with vga hook up. I hooked it up to that tv and changed the resolution to 1920x1080 unhooked the vga and hooked a hdmi chord from nvr to tv and it works. So I took my nvr to my living room tv and master bedroom and hooked up the hdmi and neither tv recognizes the nvr. The hdmi works on all my other devices such as dish and DVD and blue ray players.
