  1. I havent use Avigilon, whats so good about it vs Milestone or Nice?
  2. Milestone people can help you specify the minium requirements for the server based on number of cameras, fps and recording time. Why not move to Milestone completely and drop Pelco NVR?
  3. Hi, thanks for the responses The cameras will work at 15 fps, we aim to have 1MP res, but could settle for 800*600 Here's a very rudimentary diagram
  4. Hi, im developing a wireless cctv ip project but I need a little help with the wireless part. We 're talking of 18 Mobotix 3 Mp cameras The furthest one will be about 0.8 miles from the central. I have 6 cameras that won't have clear view to the central (there's a mount blocking) so I was thinking getting the signal to a camera that has clear view and from there to the central. What's the correct approach for this? I was thinking of using Ubiquiti, but I'm not sure what products would work for this Thanks for your help!
  5. My client wants an IP camera (preferably dome) facing a door with direct sunlight at certain hours, so I was thinking on WDR, but I can't find any info in the Axis brochures about this except for the PTZ cameras. Will the Axis 216MFD-V work? Thanks for your help!

    600 cameras

So I went to Pelco and they proposed me the Endura system. The sales person told me wonders about it but he also mentioned that there are some parts of it on development. I searched the forum and find an Endura post were someone says its a good product, I would like to hear your experiences with the system, and if its cost-effective. Thanks!

    600 cameras

I had a meeting with a GE Security sales engineer today to discuss this project and he proposed me a SymSecure IP based solution. One of the interesting parts is the integration we can get with the system and their Access Control solution, an all-in-one package. I'd like to hear your experiences with GE Security, of course the sales guy says his products are the best and in competitive prices with Pelco and other brands. I've got a meeting with a guy from Pelco tomorrow to see their solutions, I'll let you guys know. BTW, I'm located in Mexico City, and so is the project, and even if this project doesn't happen I got some more specially (but no exclusively) for CCTV, AC, Fire protection & smoke detection, so I'm interested in the products and services that some people from this forum have to offer. Regards Francisco Martinez

I thought that too, and probably will do it that way... but still I'm curious about how to record & manage that number of cameras

    600 cameras

Hi, I'm presenting a proposal for a 600 cameras system, but I've never installed that many in one place, so I need some help... I want recording and real time monitoring for all the cams, from what I've read I can use a Pelco Matrix but again I've no clue how to use it or if there are DVRs specialized in that many cameras, I've only used 16 chns tops. For now I'm thinking in a Pelco based system (as request from my boss) but I'm open to suggestions. The system involves 4 cameras (1 hidden) in an hotel-type room and 130 rooms, interior cameras for the hallways and some exterior for the entrance and surroundings of the building. Thanks for your help!
