Hi all!
Our neighborhood community is interested in setting up a self-sufficient cellular based camera at the entrance to our private road. We're in New Mexico, and receive a fair amount of sun, so I figured solar would be a practical power source. The only commercial item I've seen so far is the "Eyetrax" jobsite camera kit.
It also seems to be re-branded through a plethora of sketchy security websites. Looks like some Chinese garbage. I'm fairly tech savvy, and believe I have the capability to configure the multiple required parts my self if need be.
Can anyone recommend something that might fit the bill? We're looking for something that is 1) Powered by solar 2) Cellular 3) of decent quality that can be paired with appropriate power by said solar panel during night hours.
Thank you!
