Here is what I have found out with my EZVIZ camera system that appears to be a Hikvision spin off. You should only have to scan/register your DVR/NVR, not the individual cameras. When it asks for an authorization code or verification code, it is the password you set up for your DVR/NVR device. At some firmware version you lose the ability to access your DVR/NVR on the local network and can only access it by connecting to the DVR/NVR with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. You will not be able to get to it without using their app or webpage, and things will be limited as to what you can do from there. Hope this helps.
