Yes, CCTV.Net is service for dealers only; however, we have dealers, who has end-user oriented webstores, for example, CCTVGadgets.com.

Thank you Rory. Currently we are using http://volusion.com , but we are looking into switching to http://netsuite.com As for modestly priced servers I would recommend Pixord. They have single, 2 and 4 cameras models. Keep in mind that 4 channel model delivers no more than 5fps per channel. Here is the complete list of network servers we carry: http://www.cctv.net/category_s/80.htm If you are interested to see the prices, than click "Become a Dealer" button on front page and fill up your information. I will make sure that you will be approved as quick as possible, because approval is a manual process, since we want to make sure we are not dealing with the end-users in order to protect fair relationship between our dealers and their customers.

Besides DirectShow compatible boards, LuxRiot software also works with 16 channels ComArt HiCap and XeCap series frame grabber boards. However, I would suggest to go with XeCaps. I had some unpleasant experience with HiCap. As for 4 and 8 channels I would recommend to use ProVideo PV-149P boards. And, of course, list of supported Network cameras is pretty long, and includes all well known brands. Vitaly http://cctv.net
  4. The list of currently supported video capture boards you can find here http://www.luxriot.com/videocaptureboards.html Besides IP cameras and listed boards LuxRiot supports all DirectShow compatible video capture boards and devices. There are many video capture boards with proprietary drivers and DVR software. For the board based on the Conexant Bt878 or Bt848 chip you can try to load a generic driver from here http://btwincap.sourceforge.net/download.html or http://ivus.tele-kom.ru/ What board are you trying to run LuxRiot with? For a popular proprietary board, I believe, it is possible to place a request for LuxRiot development team to add support for this board.
  5. I knew you would like the name. We got it recently from the auction. Don't ask how much we ended up paying.
  6. Rory, thank you for the list. It takes long time to establish a good business relationship with each manufacturer. CCTV.Net is a relatively new company; we serve CCTV dealers since 2001. Give it some time and you will be amazed...
  7. The sole purpose of my previous post was to bring attension to another IP software solution - LuxRiot, which for some reason has been overlooked in this discussion. Rory: Even though it is irrelevant to this discussion, please, be constructive and suggest what major brands, you fill, would be benefitial to add to the cctv.net product line. As for trade terminology, in my undestating the usual CCTV chain loooks like this Manufacturer -> Distributer -> Dealer/Installer -> End User. Distributer is making service to manufacturers by buying in bulk, importing products into the country, providing technical support and serving warranty, and service to dealers/installers by carefully selecting products to carry, keeping inventory and providing with everything possibly needed for an installation.
  8. Depending on how many cameras you need you can choose between ProVideo PV149P for up to 4 cameras and ComArt HiCap50 if you need more. As for software I always recomend LuxRiot ( http://www.luxriot.com ) since my company is distributing it.
  9. Our company, a CCTV distributor, recently decided to add IP sollutions to our list of the carried products. Since the company used to carry Pixord cameras for a long time, so we looked through the Pixord solution partners. The product we decide to go with is LuxRiot - http://www.luxriot.com Besides Pixord they have a whole list of supported IP cameras and IP servers. The part we liked the most is that this software could work with ComArt and ProVideo boards as well.
