Hi all,
I've been using several hikvision network cameras (2512 and 2412 both with 5.3.0 firmware) for a couple of months without any problem.
Suddenly, on the last tuesday, email alerting has stopped working simultaneusly on all the cameras. I tried the test button in the email configuration panel and it says "cannot contact test server".
I'm using a google account with this settings:
smtp.gmail.com
port 465
ssl enabled
username: myaccount@gmail.com
password: (a specific app password, because i have 2 step authentication enabled)
This configuration has worked for a couple of months without any problem.
After the problem came up I rebooted all the cameras and i did those tests:
1) I verified internet connectivity from the camera and it was ok
2) I verified that the camera can resolve hostnames
3) I created a different app password and tried to use it (same error)
4) I tried to use different port (465/587 with or without ssl)
Nothing seems to solve.
I'm absolutely sure email sending was working fine till 17th may 2016.
Anyone else is experiencing something similar ?
Any help is very appreciated, i honestly don't know what else i could try.
